Biography

Mayedel San Jose began her nursing career in New Jersey as a licensed practical nurse in 2005. She continued her education, and in 2007 earned her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ. After moving to El Paso, Texas, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2010. In February 2016, she received her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and completed her post graduate certificate for Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She passed the American Nurses Credentialing Center board certification examination in March 2016. In 2022, Mayedel was selected for the Paso del Norte Health Foundation Graduate Fellows Program award for Academic Excellence and Leadership. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice program at The University of Texas at El Paso May of 2023. She currently runs her practice, San Jose Wellness Center, out of Santa Teresa, NM. She also provides concierge medicine and hospitalist services in the neighboring city of El Paso, Texas.
