Went the Heather’s menopause seminar with a group of friends here in Edmonton and it was fantastic! I wasn’t sure what to expect, it was a nice balance of informative, relatable, and relieving. I would absolutely recommend any woman who is going through the change to attend.

I have been seeing Heather for about 1 year and it has changed my life. I was so unhappy with the way my life was going and felt like I couldn’t make any changes. When I first started seeing her all I wanted was a listening ear but I got that and so much more. She helped me to believe in myself and trust myself and take chances. And 1 year later my life isn’t perfect but it is so different then where it was. She celebrates the big wins with me and helps me see the smaller wins. I am grateful that I have her in my corner

Working with Heather is very different then other counsellors I’ve seen. I have seen EAP counselors through my work benefits and I thought that going private and seeing Heather would be about the same. I did not think that it would be such a huge jump. It’s like what I was doing before wasn’t even therapy and now I am doing therapy. She challenges me, helps to to shift my perspectives, and so much more. It’s like the difference between a Pontiac Sunfire and a BMW XM (haha sorry car guy here). I really recommend her.

Fourth counselor I’ve seen in my life and not even in the same league as the others. All counselors are not good just because they have education and experience. Heather is incredible! So skilled, you feel connected to her immediately, she doesn’t just sit there and nod or just give generic coping mechanisms. She gets in there with you, actually gets to the core of things and helps you create the skills and self awareness you need to continue on your own. Yes there’s a wait to see her, great things take time, so wait. Heather is in a league of her own!

I found Heather from searching online and came across these reviews. I can honestly say these reviews do not do her justice! I’ve been seeing her for a few months because of complicated grief. I’ve seen two other therapists in the past, one who was great but retired and the other was mediocre, so I do know the importance of finding a good therapist. Heather is a phenomenal therapist. I always look forward to our sessions, and after each one I feel re-invigorated, have new understandings of myself, and feel truly seen. I see in the other reviews people talking about her wait list but what do you expect? Of course she has a wait list everyone wants to see her. Wholeheartedly, absolutely, any day of the week recommend Heather!

Heather is great! Just great! I don’t know how she does it because I know she’s very busy and there’s a wait list to see her, but she does it just the same. She gives you the time you need, I’ve never felt rushed or pressured by her, I’ve had that experience with other therapists. My friend who sees a different therapist asked me if I’m ever nervous about my appointments and I said no I very much look forward to them with Heather… my friend is now on Heathers wait list lol.

I absolutely recommend Ms O’neale. The wait wasn’t that bad, about 6 weeks but if you’re in crisis that could be a long time. She is very knowledgeable about anxiety and trauma and provides a perspective that includes not only the individual but also the life events and other factors. I greatly appreciate that she gets to know me as a whole person and somehow remembers every detail I’ve told her so I’m not having to repeat stories or details about myself. Her care in listening and discussing difficult issues is remarkable.

Great therapist. I was nervous to try therapy for the first time but Heather made me feel as ease with her calm and understanding demeanour. She came highly recommended by my colleagues and I would also recommend her.

I have been seeing therapists for over 30 years and Heather is the first to help me understand my anxiety and depression in a manner that has made such a difference and doesn’t make me feel ashamed. I’ve been working with her for a few months now and already feel stronger and more self-assured. Further, I’m learning so much about myself and learning to love parts of me that previously made me feel inferior. Heather is helping me change my life. I know first hand how important the fit with your therapist is and after 30 years I’ve finally found a therapist who fits for me and it has made all the difference. I agree with the other reviewers here, she is funny, non-judgemental, and knows her stuff (there is also a very worthwhile wait to get in with her). But beyond that you can feel how much Heather really cares about helping you and she is top notch!
