Dr. Mathurangan has been very knowledgeable on each visit I have had. She is easy to relate to and listens to my concerns and questions. I never feel rushed. There is very little wait time when I arrive. The assistant on reception is welcoming and remembers me. She is efficient with any follow up requisitions or paperwork. Calls are returned promptly. Making appointments is easy.

The recipient lacks competency. Failure to pick up calls nor call back following up on voicemails. Doctor seems to not know what she’s doing. We consistently have to ask her to check/provide xray or check for deficiencies. In addition, she fails to review prior reports on patient’s health before and while advising, with expectation that the patient should know all the health issues and should tell her. Both doctor and receptionist lacks competency.

Great doctor. Listens to the patient, and is very helpful.

Dr Yasothara Mathurangan is very good family doctor who understands and reads the requirement of the patients thoroughly.

Didn’t book follow up in advance for diabetes, apparently gave me diabetes blood paper which I may have lost but then held blood pressure medications hostage until I picked up new blood paperwork, which I did as soon as my schedule allowed but then when I got bronchitis and they didn’t want me in the office refused to do follow up appointment on phone for diabetes and when I expressed how stressful it was told me I could find a new doctor. In when I asked her for information regarding studies about garlic lowering my cholesterol she stated she doesn’t have time to read about new information in medicine. Really?

In my first appointment I was thinking wow such nice and caring family doctor I got finally after long time living in Canada. But recently I am calling with no response and leaving message not getting back. I want to see her in-person but twice she gave virtual by phone for 3-4 min. Gave me exam but never call me for sharing the result.

I had an appointment with this Doctor and she truly amazing.She listened to my concerns and provided me with the correct diagnosis. People who live in a remote town like Thompson in Manitoba should be lucky to have a Family Physician.The doctors and other professional staff for that matter go through a lot of hard time to relocate and then the patients complain about their services ?. Unacceptable !!

Was on time for my appointment but had to wait 45 minutes to be seen by her. She gave me 5 minutes in which she partially listened to what I was concerned about and told me that I had to make another appointment for her to take down my medical history because she had other patients to see. Worst doctor experience I've had so far. I waited 3 weeks for this appointment and now I have to wait a month to see someone else!
