Went to see Dr. Shoamanesh at the Stroke Clinic at Hamilton General Hospital after experiencing a stroke November 2024. His professional manner and sincere concern together with a knowledgeable summary of all the test results transferred to a feeling of confidence and well being on my behalf. Part of his follow-up involved contact with his nursing staff. These nurses were available whenever I had a concern or question. They were empathetic, friendly, and patient. They put me at ease during our discussions and they were thorough and knowledgeable in their responses to my queries. Thank you from a very grateful patient.

My mother had a stroke on December 1st 2020, we had the pleasure of having Dr Shoamanesh as her Doctor, we can’t say enough good things about him. His staff were amazing, he explained exactly what kind of stroke my mom had and every time he would check up on her she always felt like he was so knowledgeable in his field. His bedside manner is excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better Doctor.

How very fortunate I was to have been visited by Dr. Shoamanesh two or three days after a stroke that resulted in a significant facial droop, speech issues and loss of function of my left side. I was only in my 50s and traumatized by my sudden predicament. Dr. Shoamanesh exudes experience, knowledge, confidence and an appropriate and delightful sense of humour. He is highly efficient yet seemingly unrushed and always personable. Whether he saw me while I was an impatient, later in the stroke clinic or randomly in the hospital cafeteria or hallways, he always had time to pause, say hello and ask how I was. His prognosis regarding my recovery seems to be excellent and laying in that hospital bed in the early days, I sure had my doubts! I mentioned that to him sometime later and we had a good laugh. A genuine and personable individual; a caring, and knowledgeable doctor. It doesn't get any better than that!

He is an excellent and caring doctor! My grandmother was referred to him for a rare brain bleeding disorder and Dr. Shoamanesh put all of our worries at ease. He is one of the very few doctors in Hamilton knowledgeable about this condition, he also has amazing bedside manners, takes his time to answer questions, to do thorough assessments. Dr. Shoamanesh is one of the best doctors I have ever met. The level of care and compassion that he showed was almost overwhelming. I am not just referring to the way he treated me, but the caring that he showed to his other patients on the ward, most of whom were in much worse condition than I was. All of my dealings with Dr. Shoamanesh were comfortable, and professional. I am lucky enough to be healthy enough to no longer need to see Dr. Shoamanesh and I can honestly say that I will miss him. It is comforting to know that should I ever need him again he will be there to help. Keep up the good work. our community is better for having you here.
