Biography

Dr. Sarah Abel (who changed her last name from Garbelya in 2017 to her married name) is a Kelowna native. She received her dental degree from the University of British Columbia in 2012. Prior to moving to Kelowna in 2014 she worked in Surrey BC in a busy group practice. Dr. Abel’s passion for travel and volunteer work has taken her all over the world. Now that she’s a mother she spends more of her community service time in the Okanagan. She’s part of the Kelowna and district Dental Society and volunteers at the Kelowna Gospel Mission dental clinic where she provides free dental work and mentors UBC dental students.
