Biography
Dr. Sailaja Raju is a family physician treating patients in Memphis and Greater Tennessee. She operates out of Saint Francis Medical Partners and is certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. Educated in India, Dr. Raju attended Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, where she earned both a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery degree. During her career as a medical student, she was awarded a Rajeev Gandhi scholarship. She completed a residency in family medicine at the Saint Francis Family Medicine Program at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Raju has occupied a number of position in clinical, research, and volunteer roles. At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, she volunteered for the international outreach program and at the University of Tennessee, she volunteered for maternal and fetal research efforts. She was also a research associate for the University’s Department of Pediatrics and completed her residency at UT Saint Francis Family Practice program. She is now working as a primary care physician for Saint Francis Medical Partners in Germantown.
