He's the best Doctor I've ever had and one of the only doctors who I feel always takes me and my concerns seriously and tries his best to help me however he can. In fact, he has helped me so much and has always actively been interested in wanting to help me with any of my issues and subsequent treatments. I'm sad to say that this is not a very common experience I've had with previous family doctors. I am so thankful for your work and what you do. I hope you are well.

He was my family doctor in wainwright, I had him also as a family doctor when I moved to Edmonton, the best family doctor you can have.

I had Dr Colthrust as my family doctor for 4 years. I always enjoy visiting him because he takes the time to listen to my concerns and explain exactly what steps to take. My son also is very comfy around him.. Now he's away for a year. Please return Doc...a replacement like you is hard to find.

He was my family physician. He is by far the best family physician I have met in Canada. He is very helpful, takes time to listen to all your concerns, provides right treatment, and goes extra mile to ensure that you get the treatment you need. I had restless legs causing sleepless nights for 20+ years. He was able to diasgnoe the problem and provide treatment to cure it.

This Dr did not listen when my wife & I were in to see him several times. We kept telling him that my shoulders & wrists were hurting after my fall at work. He focused more on my other injury & never documented my other injuries due to this fall. He admitted to us that he dropped the ball in regards to this but would not put it in writing. It took 2 years before he finally sent me for ultrasound and MRI on my shoulders and wrists, then to tell me that my rotator cuffs had tears & my wrist had 2 tears. He only sent me after another person I know took a fall & he was sending him for ultrasound on his shoulders & we complained to him about not being sent for this.

I've found Dr. Colthrust to be patient, get your history, discuss your health with you, give requisitions that you ask for. He is very thorough. When I went in to get a physical he did a thorough and then gave me a requisition for a COMPLETE blood panel which is what you would expect at the age over 70. Also very friendly and very timely.

This doctor actually talks so badly about his patients behind their backs. He calls them crazy and nuts and discusses their personal issues which is a breach of the patient confidentiality clause. He acts so friendly and nice but is very degrading behind patients backs.

I will follow him around Edmonton, best doctor, I never feel rushed, and even when I have a list of concerns he takes time to go over them with me. He’s great with my kids, who are shy, explaining why he’s doing things and getting them to open up to him. And he doesn’t try to push meds on you.
