This practise seems more interested in prescribing amphetamine / stimulant drugs to the upper-middle class and wealthy than providing medical assistance to mentally ill patients on the fringe of society. Frequently over-charged, appointments never running on time. Dr. Kataria seemed almost uninterested in listening to his patient and assessing their needs instead prescribing anti-depressant medications and stimulants without responsible discussion of side effects. The reception staff are rude and unhelpful. The invoice often far exceeded the expected amount on the service price list and communication about referals and appointment deposits / costs where not dealt with efficiently.

Dismissive, rude, lacked knowledge about pretty much anything that I asked for help on. Twice put me on medications with little info on their effects, then refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing / pretty much blamed me when they caused severe weight gain / made me more suicidal. Also told me I couldn't possibly have side effects that I was experiencing. Also misgendered me constantly! What a guy :)

I found him to be dismissive and unethical. He didn’t want to explore why I was seeking psychiatric help and after 20 minutes over video call he wanted to prescribe a strong antidepressant and said the side effect was drowsiness when it in fact had over 10 side effects. I’m also not depressed. I waited 3 months for the appt and it cost $500 before Medicare. I sought him out for a adhd diagnosis and he wasn’t interested in exploring that at all. Big waste of money and time especially because when I showed up for my in person appt that was an hour away - they had what appeared to be a scheduled power outage so I had to reschedule my appt to a phone call. I had taken time off work to get to this appt. Don’t recommend

Dr Kataria is great, aside from him only working once a fortnight at a particular location. It can be impossible to get a follow-up sometimes as he books out so fast.
