Though I have only been to the clinic twice, I feel truly hopeful for the first time in years that I can get the addiction treatment I need. Dr. B is professional, thorough, listens, and truly wants to help you achieve your goals. His approach reflects innovation, a quality I think government-funded addictions care is seriously lacking. The Comprehensive Treatment Clinic provides a rapid, barrier-free, compassionate medical service to those suffering from addiction. Counselling and harm reduction services are also available and easily accessed. As someone who has navigated the health care system for my mental health issues for over a decade, it’s safe to say I’ve found an exceptionally good resource with the CTC and a trailblazing doctor worth recommending.

In one visit, Dr. B provided me with a number of supports --a "comprehensive" plan, to say the least -- that provided with me: 1. referrals to effective outpatient programs (that are even supporting me during Covid-19), 2. a plan for abstinence and relapse prevention, 3. advice on personal management strategies, 4. medication, and 5. overall direction for getting back to work while I stay healthily committed to my recovery. I feel safe, confident, and directly included in a journey to stability and sobriety. My partner is also so happy to see this support in our lives. The office is, additionally, easy to access, welcoming, cheerfully decorated, and someone always picks up the phone, or calls you right back. Dr. Bienenstock and his clinic are very accessible in many ways. He makes you feel instantly comfortable. He explains the plan for your recovery thoroughly. He’s very encouraging. I've never had a doctor make seeing a specialist in addictions feel so easy. His clinic makes getting the help I need honestly without hassles or judgment. He goes above and beyond what I have ever experienced with any other doctor, especially in his field since he has also taken on requests from me to treat me not just for my addiction to drugs but in other health issues I have presented while I have been his patient. In the time that I have been in his care, he has demonstrated empathy and respect for me and I have not used the drugs that nearly killed me before I discovered his clinic .Dr B, is the real deal and I am do grateful for his ongoing efforts and support as well as his cooperation with other health professionals that I see on a regular basis. I started seeing Dr. Bienenstock for addiction, but I am also type 1 diabetic and have some other health issues that he has helped me manage at the CTC in Toronto. The clinic staff is always helpful and welcoming, safe setting and always clean. Dr. B has helped me progress with my health and steer me in the right direction when it comes to my DRT.
