I saw Dr Oehme for persistent cervical radiculopathy after a previous C6–7 ACDF performed 10 years ago. Following my first surgery, I had only partial improvement in my arm pain, while my neck pain persisted. When I revisited my original surgeon (not Dr Oehme), I was discouraged from having any further surgery and was essentially told I would need to rely on pain medication long term. Eventually, I sought another opinion from Dr David Oehme, who confidently offered me a C6–7 cervical disc replacement despite my age (63 years old). I am now just over 2 weeks post-op and already feeling significantly better. Both my neck pain and radicular arm pain are improving well, and I have been able to reduce my pain medication intake substantially. I recently saw David regarding pain in my lower back and left leg sciatica. During the consultation, he was very thorough and detailed in providing all the necessary information.
