Norther Hospital

The Northern is the only hospital for the north of Melbourne and rural areas. Terrible place, over crowded emergency room, some staff very rude, food on ward is atrocious. Nothing good to say about the place,

partner spent 3 days in the Northern for emergency appendectomy, ED nurses and Doctors where very nice, professional and helpful. ward nurses on the other hand, where do i start, unprofessional, lack patient interaction skills/bed side manner, needing more clinical training. one making my partner believe he did something wrong when she stuffed up and didnt know what she was doing, some so incompetent i had to stop them and do their basic nursing tasks for them. very interesting when they don't know you are a nurse too.. unfortunate because i have worked with and been looked after amazing nurses, then come and see this very low level of nursing for my partner on his very first hospital experience
