What was great was that Dr. Dusik actually looked at my knee, not just the x-ray. That he asked about what I wrote on the form, and listened to what I had tried so far, made me walk so he could see the action, and pushed on areas to see how sensation was. Arthritis in the lateral part of the knee, causing medial excursion. The arthritis will not reverse, the ligament will not grow back. No need for surgery unless I am in chronic pain and taking meds no longer helps. Wanted to know where I had gotten my leg brace - thrift store, 2003 - said it was cumbersome. It totally is. But I have no pain when wearing the brace because it restricts medial movement, and I have been wearing for a loading job, when I have to walk in snow and ice, and lately every day for months, including to my daily exercise group, which I started to to December 2024. He asked me to squat (without brace), and I did, and told him I couldn't do that in 2024. Said there's no evidence not wearing the brace will make the knee worse. I think wearing the brace has allowed me to help it heal by keeping the knee aligned under load. Said he would be happy to see me if surgery becomes necessary, and in the meantime can refer for a much less cumbersome custom brace to prevent medial excursion, will be about $2000. Emphatically concerned about what that cost would mean to me. True, it is a lot, but that will be a deal for the huge improvement that will bring, and the next thing I'll do. Super visit!

I sleep soundly at night now and no pain when i play golf. Both knees he fixed.

I found staff to be warm and caring...very informative and explained everything I need to know pre op before my hip surgery. A very excellent experience..

Cold and uncaring bedside manner. Very blunt and scared me with the threat of losing my limb or having an infection. Even his staff seemed uncomfortable with the way he handled my visit.

My mother had an excellent experience with Dr. Dusik. He explained everything to her kindly and had great bedside manner. Her hip surgery went very well and she is very happy with it, thank you Dr. Dusik!
