My dad recently had thyroid surgery with Dr. Eskander at Michael Garron Hospital. What an experience! We were all very nervous for the procedure and had a lot of anxiety about this day. Dr. Eskander completely eased all of our worries and made this whole experience comfortable and pleasant. We initially met with Dr. Eskander in December to go over my dads procedure. He was very compassionate and confident from the very first visit and this set the tone for the next few months. The day of the surgery, Dr. Eskander was very reassuring, confident, professional and caring. Immediately after surgery, Dr. Eskander called my mom personally to give us details on how the surgery went and what we can expect next. My dad had to stay at the hospital overnight for extra precaution and Dr. Eskander came to the room directly to meet with us in person and tell us all about the procedure and how the next few days of recovery will play out. He was so friendly and made us all feel so at ease. He also went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. Before he left the room, he made sure we knew he was on call if there were any complications and said that he would see my dad in 2 weeks for a follow up appointment. Overall, this was an extremely pleasant experience all thanks to Dr. Eskander, Jennifer, his entire team at Michael Garron Hospital, his resident doctors and his admin team. Dr. Eskander and his team are amazing! I started my journey with him 2 years ago, and what started out to be very nerve wrecking for me he made me feel so much at ease with my diagnosis. I've had 2 surgeries with him, and explained the field of work I was in and he made sure my incisions were flawlessly done. He's never made me feel any less than comfortable and always is so thorough with his consults with me. I truly thank Dr. Eskander for always being so inviting and understanding. You can tell he is very passionate about his work and his patients. Also his AA Jennifer is amazing and so punctual in any form of communication and very efficient. There's not enough space in this comment area to praise not only Dr Eskander but all of his support staff during my surgery and recovery. We are blessed to have professionals with his and their skill within our medical community. I was very pleased with his no bs approach, no sugar covering. Any and all questions were succinctly answered. Should also note that Dr Eskander has the unique skill of putting the patient's family as ease. Dr. Eskander is very professional, knowledgeable and considerate. Both my mom and myself are his patients for Thyroid disease. His assistant Jennifer is extremely helpful and prompt to respond my inquiries.

My dad was diagnosed with esophageal cancer that spread to his thyroid and larynx, lymph nodes. He was stage 4. I thank Dr. Eskander for saving my fathers life. We saw Dr. Eskander this week regarding my husband's diagnosis of Medullary Thyroid Cancer. He has been incredibly patient and understanding with us (especially me as I was very emotional). He took the time to answer all our questions and was on top of things getting additional tests ordered quickly. Jennifer (his Admin) is lovely and very efficient at her job - organized and helpful. Dr. Eskander is the best surgeon. I had thyroid surgery and he telephoned me on my way home from the surgery. I felt so much better the next day then I have ever felt after surgery. It is my best scar ever! He saw me to remove my stitches then he called to check up on how l was feeling. This doctor is amazing!!!
