Extremely rude and disrespectful. Barely even treats you like a human. This doctor using his title to diminish people, you should not be a doctor!!
I gave him a three for punctuality not because I'm turned off by the wait time. He takes the time to hear each patient and does not rush through them to get to the next like other doctors I've been to. He also didn't make me feel bad for not following his regime perfectly, which I much appreciate. The first time we went to him he took over an hour of time to discuss with my wife and I his approach and talked to us like we were intelligent people. If you're looking for a doctor who shows patience and compassion make an appointment.
Great doctor who takes time to listen to your concerns. I searched for a long time for a plant-based physician and was so happy to get a referral to him via another doctor.
This doctor took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me solve my complex issues. I am really greatful to have seen this doctor and will again.
I visited Dr. Ladak in a walk in clinic on Lakeshore in Clarkson. He was rude, disrespectful and condescending. He has NO bedside manner or compassion. When you explain thing to him abut your history or current issue, he belittles you with his responses. I've never had this experience with a doctor before and I would NOT recommend him to anyone.
Very disrespectful! He said to me “if doctors gave antibiotics to all females who claim they have a UTI, the world would run out of antibiotics”. How could a doctor say that? Unbelievably rude. He was also trying to push his vegetarian and vegan beliefs saying every issue I was having was because I ate chicken. This doctor should not have a license. Do not go to him!!
First experience with this Dr. Was a phone call for a prescription renewal for high blood pressure meds. He asked why I have high blood pressure. Explained I very over weight at time. I have lost 80 pounds on my own with no medical support. Very proud of this. All diet changes and walking 12 km a day. His first question was “ can you prove your weight loss?” Yes with pictures and anyone else who knows me could prove this. He asked for examples of my blood pressure- I provided. I was happy with the numbers and all other Drs over the past 5 yrs like these numbers-Dr Ladak didn’t like these number and wanted them lower. Wants to put me on more meds when I’m trying to get off them. Proceeded to dissect my diet- I’m gluten, dairy and red meat free. This wasn’t good enough- was advised no more meat. Eat Tofu and lentils-plant based diet- which I already do except for the fish and chicken. Was advised to watch a Netflix doc and a you tube documentary on eating?!!! This person doesn’t know me, never met me and still felt obligated to teary me down. I have some other medical challenges that I am working with that would affect my blood pressure , but I couldn’t even bring these up as we are only allowed to talk about one item during the phone consultation. I went home and cried. For all the progress I had made that didn’t make a difference and the disrespect that I felt. I get that there is always ways to improve- but this Drs bedside manner is lacking. He could use some training in customer service. Very disappointed and hope not to half to deal with him moving forward.
This Doctor seems to think it's proper to push his Vegan or Vegetarian Beleive's on patients ,Trying to tell them that the Canaduan food guide has removed certain products ,(ie) milk ,This is not a good practice in my opinion . To each their own, but in no way should it be pushed on any person ,tge same way as no one person has the right to push their Religious beleives on another ...
My experience today with Dr. Amin Ladak was unpleasant would be an understatement. I met him for the first time because another gp who treated me in the same clinic has left this place. The purpose of my visit was to get a requisition form to follow up annual physical exam. After an exchange of pleasantries I explained the purpose of my visit. While he was reviewing my previous report he asked what I have changed since the last report. I said I reduced carbohydrate consumption and started balancing my diet with fish and vegetables. As soon as I said fish he kind of flipped , gave me a lecture on how terrible my diet is and another blood test wouldn’t change anything. I said your colleague who used to work here advised me to eat Salmon for Omega -3. Then he continued his rant against fish, dairy and meat, asked me to change my diet completely and pivot to fruits and lentils!! During our discussion he asked me to look at his waist to prove his fitness that was inappropriate and simply disgusting!! He may be knowledgeable but he has absolutely no clue what empathy is and perhaps his condescending approach conceals his experience. So, I am firing him.
I was able to get pregnant on my 40’s with a severe endometriosis thanks to a plant base diet and all the advise doctor Ladak gave me . I love how knowledgeable and direct he is. I have a healthy baby and i feel great
