Ratings for Dr. Betty Bartleman
I'd like to say that while I love Bartlemann. Love her "real ness" her staff is very rude an unhelpful. Once, I was told I wasn't able to get an appt for my daughter because it hadn't been 6 months since the last visit. Within that 6 month time frame my daughter had been diagnosed with autism . This last time I was told that Bartlemann is only a consultant to our family doctor And I have to see him to get Info for "medication regarding my 6 yr old". In very I satisfied and considering a new pediatrician asap.
got sent home from NRGH ER with in 15 minutes she did not even come into see my daughter she misdiagnosed her over the phone we went back to NRGH 12 hours later and ended up being flown to children's in Vancouver and our stay there was far from satisfactory as well
Took my special needs daughter to emergency via ambulance as she was puking and coughing up red blood from her trach and was on more oxygen then normal and was miserable......she wouldn't even come into er to see her no x Ray no assessment at all and diagnosed her over the phone to hospital doctor and had us sent home saying there was nothing she could do ( and she has continued to bleed on and off throughout the night )....totally unprofessional
Saw Dr. Bartleman with my 14 year old son. It's hard for a 14 yr old to even get to the doctor and she was amazing! I hate feeling 'dismissed' by doctors as I am actually my childs mom and am somewhat intelligent and might possibly know what's happening with my child. Her bedside manner was outstanding and put him right at ease which made it possible for him to HEAR the hard things. He's a new kid since seeing her and her wisdom kept me open to hearing alternatives. Wouldn't hesitate in taking my other 2 kids to see her. Wish I could say that about all the local docs. Bless you Dr. B!! ♥
We see Dr. Bartleman. She's amazing. Really thorough. She initially admitted our newborn to the hospital for "irritability," and we ended up being flown to BC Children's. We were so grateful that she saw the subtle symptoms. She is a bit blunt, and like all doctors doesn't really need 101 questions during a visit, but has a fantastic energy about her, and kept a keen interest in the welfare of our newborn boy.
I have found DR Bartleman to be an awesome Dr she really knows how to deal with kids. I have two Kids that see her. She is the reason that My little girl is finally getting better. And my son is on his way to being diagnosed for his autism and My little girl has been diagnosed with celiac disease. Because she take the time to research things and keeps going till she finds the problem
Saw this Dr for my infant son in hospital. She took her time, consulted with a cardiologist, sat downt o really explain heart and lungs, and oxygen issues. Was very passionate about her work-describing therapy to help my son. Was very helpful and feel reassured she was looking after my son for most of the days he was in hospital
