Ratings for Dr. Daniel Sapir
Worst run medical office I have ever been involved with. Sapir's knowledge is ok, but he was very distracted and I felt better off with a GP. His staff's incompetence boiled my blood, passive aggressive, unprofessional and cranky. Funny how I go to a doctor to get my BP under control, only to have it elevated by the mere process of seeing him. Learn to respect your patients time Sapir.
I can only speak on my behalf as a patient, and I have nothing but praise for Dr. Sapir. I was in the worst situation of my life, and with his guidance and expertise, I was able to move forward and understand my condition. I honestly don't know where I would be without his care, I am extremely grateful that I met Dr. Sapir. A fine gentleman not only with the brains, but also a heart. Really understands and listens to his patients, but at the same time, will not sugar coat a situation. A realist, especially in this field, nobody wants to be playing games, especially when it comes to his/her health. A very appreciative patient.
Same kind of lousy service with staff. Twice they moved and never informed me and I showed up and they weren't there both times. Appts constantly cancelled as he's out of the country. Always waiting 1.5-2 hrs in the office and when I call in an emerg they just tell me to go see my doctor or go to emerg. Office was always filty around receptionist when they were across from the hospital. When I showed up there and they had moved, I went to the pharmacy and pharmacy downstairs said people had been coming in all week with appts wanting to know where he was and they didn't know either/ Doctor also prescribed meds that didn't lower pl pressure so he doubled the dose and when I called the office back they told me to cut the dose in half as per doc but half didn't work that's why he doubled it. When I told the receptionist this she just said go to your doctor or emerg. That's all they ever say
Staff absolutely horrible , don't care that you are waiting and the doctor is not in and don't know when he is coming. Over the 5 years as a patient not so much help and advice how to prevent your kidneys from failing, just waiting till it's going to happen. Very frustrating visits.
I've been seeing Dr. Sapir for over 10 years and he is worth the wait. I 100% agree with all the negative comments about his administrative staff being rude and unaccomodating. They forget to fax/mail me important documents regarding surgeries/appointments but thats in the past now. Dr. Sapir is worth the wait and I always try to schedule my time with him right in the morning, least likely to get delays seeing him. HE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. WHAT IS YOUR HEALTH WORTH? I always call ahead to ensure the doctor is running on schedule. I know it is extremely annoying to schedule a time and no one wants to respect YOUR time but I can say over the 10 years, my appointment was delayed because the doctor was responding to an emergency. I'm okay with that. 10/10 for this doctor.
Dr. Sapir is the best doctor and I have loads of respect for him. I have been going to him for many years, and yes, sometimes you have to wait a long time to get in to see him but that's because he is THAT good. He takes time with his patients and he cares. So if waiting around is a big issue for you, just think that when your turn comes up he'll take the same time and care with you. I have so much respect for this man that I even got my mother referred to him. He is knowledgeable, insightful and honest, but not overly harsh, as some doctors can be. Because i respect him and his opinions so much I have asked him about his opinions on other doctors. He has never steered me wrong, and even suggested I get my family doctor to refer me to a specific specialist for another health issue. That doctor was also excellent and has helped me with a chronic condition that no one else had provided as much help for before.
