If I could give zero stars I would! Zero communication, emailed test results for a possible cancerous thyroid growth for a 18 yrs female as opposed to calling so we can actually discuss and ask questions; , hung up on my daughter when she was asking question to gain clarification on her symptoms, has not returned any calls or emails. Waited 5 weeks to get any information so we know how to proceed with next steps which still weren't provided. Terrible bedside manner, rude, and completely unprofessional! I would never ever recommend this guy! Awful!!!!!!

I was supposed to receive a phone call from dr. Irving between 4-5pm. It is now 5:30 and I never received a call. I am waiting for important test results and he has failed to provide me with this after multiple schedules meetings and phone calls. I am extremely disappointed with the treatment I have received. Additionally he had hung up on me the previous time we spoke on the phone because he claimed to not like my questions.

Unbelievably kind and reassuring. He allayed all my fears and worries about having the scope. I wasn’t prepared to have it at the appointment but I’m glad I did. I did not feel any discomfort and it was over so quickly. He is an exceptional doctor.

Dr. R. Irvine listened to my concerns, discussed the situation with great knowledge. Very Helpful.

Dr. Irvine is amazing. I am sad to hear he has moved his practice to Toronto. He's drained a gland below my tongue 2x a year for 15 years. Incredibly knowledgeable, kind, patient, and an excellent communicator. Will be dearly missed in Vancouver!

After seeing several different ENT specialist in Toronto that couldn't help me I started doing an extensive amount of research and I finally came up on Dr Irvine. I spoke with him on the phone and he made me feel very comfortable and confident that my procedure could be done. I flew over to Vancouver and saw Dr Irvine. The staff at the hospital were exceptional and Dr Irvine did my surgery successfully. It's was a wonderful experience overall and I am very happy I went. Thanks to Dr Irvine and everyone at St Paul's Hospital.

I’m on disability and I spent a lot of money I don’t have and travelled hours at the drop of a hat to come see Dr Irvine, desperately hoping he could help me. All he did was gaslight me and tell me my problems weren’t real. He seems very callous, sexist, and ableist. He was questioning everything I had to say before I even finished explaining and before he even examined me. Don’t expect help if you’re a woman or visibly disabled.

He listened to all my concerns and knew exactly what the problem was. Answered all my questions. Very kind and patient. I appreciate him responding quickly to my doctors referral.
