I was told that Restore lens implants would give me excellent distance intermediate and up close vision and that I could throw my glasses away. After surgery my intermediate vision is very bad. Feels very foggy, sensitive to ALL LIGHTS. My night vision is terrible, all the headlights and street lights have expanding bright rings that obscure street signs. It is very hard to watch tv feels like I need to wear sunglasses. Dr. Blaylock said my brain needs time to ajust to the new lens. It has been a few years now and every day I wake up hopeing I will see better. Do not know what to do. Makes me very sad and wish I never had the surgery.

He is absolutely wonderful. He makes you feel like you are his only patient and gives you his complete attention. He is kind and friendly. I cannot say enough good about him. I highly recommend him. If only other doctors were like him. Fantastic!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Blaylock and his staff. Years ago, while out of Canada I had lenses implanted in both eyes, to correct my (nearly blind)vision. In this procedure my natural lenses were retained. Years later,I developed cataracts in both eyes. Dr. Blaylock was recommended as the surgery required would be unusual. First he had to remove the implanted lens, then the natural lens and replace with a new lens. The surgery required a very skilled and precise doctor. I felt completely safe in his care. He was thorough, he was diligent and he had a wonderful "bedside manner". The girls at the front were friendly and helpful; the techs friendly and competent. My surgery was not done in his clinic, but at Chilliwack hospital eye centre. Here the atmosphere in the waiting room was upbeat, with attentive nurses. Due to the complexity of the surgery, I needed IV sedation. All was pre-explained by Dr. Blaylock. The follow-up was superb. I am a very satisfied customer.

I had LASIK surgery with Dr. Blaylock in Abbotsford in 2009. Before LASIK, my vision was excellent with my glasses. I developed complications very quickly after my LASIK. More than 2 years have passed since, and today I have permanent visual impairment. My vision is distorted, my eyes are constantly dry and my night vision is extremely poor-I can't drive at night. I have spent thousands on glasses and specialists but it has helped very little. The scar from the LASIK has distorted my corneas, causing blurry vision and "ghosting". The specialists I have seen have told me that the scars on my eyes are some of the worst they have ever seen. I am in my 40s and I can't drive at night. I want to caution everyone who is considering LASIK surgery to think very, very hard about it. It is not as safe as you might think. I am now back in glasses but my eyesight is permanently damaged. Look at the numerous similar cases on the net before you get LASIK surgery. I wish I had never done it!!!

My husband had Standard PRK done on both of his eyes this past April. Dr. Blaylock took the time with him, was very clear on the risks and didn't act like a salesman. Makes himself very open to after surgery care, and really spends that time with you ensuring the work he did was perfect. My husband injured his eye soon after his surgery and after a horrible hospital visit and emergency call to Dr. Blaylock was made. During a beautiful sunny day at the beach with his family he left and rushed to open his closed office to see my husband and ensure that he was ok. He deserves an A plus in everything. We would go back in a heartbeat. Anyone that says otherwise is foolish, and I highly recommend him. My husband doesn't know why he didn't consider it earlier.
