Ratings for Dr. Susan K. Cox
For 2 yrs I have been seeing her monthly for pain issues. The wait to see her is always long usually 2 hrs. She spends a lot of time with you and she does listen to your needs however she is limited by lack of knowledge in certain areas. Unfortunately she is governed by the VA system and cannot prescribe certain meds. She thinks patients on pain meds are addicts. Without her though I would be in constant pain. But she is working to take away what little I do get.
I'm a iraqi veteran with an opiate addiction seeking treatment. I been trying to get suboxone treatment in Poplar bluff. I have went to st.louis for the treatment in the past and found that while on the medication I experienced no cravings or thoughts at all. The only problem I had was the treatment is 80 miles away from my home and bell st clinic is the most racist place I ever been to. I just want a opportunity to try the program in Poplar bluff that is all. I keep getting denied by dr.cox among the others in farmington. Wtf
Susan Cox has been my VA Primary Care Provider for at least a decade now. The reason for the average score on promptness, as she is most always behind, is actually due to the fact that she takes the time to listen to you explain your issues and also to explain what, why or why not, she is or is not doing. If anyone leaves a visit with her and doesn't feel heard or doesn't understand what is going on with their health care, well, it's their own fault. She is there for her patients. And I am very happy to say I am one!
