Dr.Stoker has taken the very best care with his patients. Going above and beyond for the health and safety of those in his care. He has been my doctor for 32 years. He has always taken the time to discuss my medical concern, listen to me, investigate possible outcomes,, comfort me in times of loss, run tests if necessary, refer if necessary and research and make a diagnosis, prescribe medication and follow up if needed. Dr. Stoker is a brilliant man, a compassionate man, a man that actually takes his profession seriously, putting his patients first. I’ve been very fortunate to have his care. He also brought humanity to his practice. Taking a moment to see how your doing and talk to you like a person. And occasionally share one of his own personal stories with you while multitasking. He has lived a pretty cool life and overcame many obstacles of his own. He is so interesting, and funny, if you weren’t time restricted, you would be able to have the most interesting conversations about almost anything.. He is so relatable and fascinating and real. My family and I will miss him dearly, with his upcoming, well deserved retirement. I can’t imagine finding another doctor with his sense of humour, storytelling ability, compassion, medical brilliance, patient care morals and standards. He has truly been the coolest doctor Peterborough has ever had the good fortune to employ. He actually cares for his patients. Something you think you’d say about all doctors but in reality (unfortunately), it is just not the case. Dr. D.B. Stoker is a wonderful charismatic person. I wish you nothing but happiness in your new adventures. Thanks for caring for me over my lifetime with every hurtle I’ve faced from a young age and for helping to bring my daughter into the world and caring for her for 16 years. We love you very much.

Have watched the poor care he provides my father. His latest shenanigan was the clinic he works for denied my father a throat swab as it was requisitioned from an online doctor when stokers office was not answering the phones. Instead they prescribes antibiotics without a culture swab for a sore throat. The next day they said they would deny all future care until he goes for a covid test and culture swab to protect themselves. Denying care to protect the fact their practice made mistakes.

Dr. Stoker has been our family physician for over 22 years. I cannot say enough about his professionalism and kindness. I wish there are more doctors like him. Many thanks to Dr. Stoker and his caring staff for providing excellent service to many Peterborough residents!

Great doctor. Helped get me a diagnosis for an autoimmune disease and is always able to see my 2 year old son quickly when needed. He’s personable and friendly. I feel lucky to have him for myself and my kids.

Dr. Stoker is the best family physician. He is a very wise man and has always been great with our family. He even looks after my grandkids now. I have been ill for many years with an auto immune disease and Dr. Stoker has ran every test and has always sent me to a specialist if needed. He has always been helpful and I'm happy to read that most people agree what I have always said about him ( one of the best Dr. I have ever met). He has always diagnosed correctly before sending me to a specialist which only solidifies how much I trust his knowledge.

I've been a patient with him since he came to Peterborough. He is very knowledgable. If he doesn't know he will send you to a specialist. Doesnt prescribe medication unless it is needed. Is very rarely late for appointments. He has very friendly and likable personality. His receptionist is also very helpful and nice
