Ratings for Dr. Greenberg Dental

My family has been patients with Greenberg for several years, and we have seen the quality decline dramatically and are now looking for new dentists. Granted, Greenberg has multiple offices in C Fl, but other review sites prove that each office is similar. The receptionist staff is rude, uninviting, and uncaring. They make frequent errors with billing and insurance, as well as with appointments. In addition, these appointments are very frequently canceled - leaving us frustrated and with little to no recourse. You wait for what seems like hours, and then are herded through the process by the staff, who seem to care nothing of you - they even talk (in Spanish!) with each other while "cleaning" your mouth. The several doctors I've been through are also lacking - in particular, Dr. Sanchez allots approximately 30 seconds - no exaggeration - to each patient. I even tried asking him a question about my tooth, which he brushed off with a "looks good" as he walked straight out the door.
My family goes to the Deland office, and have been for several years. The reason I started going to them is because they were open on Saturdays. They no longer do cleaning on Saturdays. I have yet to have them finish the work they started, especially cleaning if it takes more then 1/2 hour they will reschedule the appointment. On my last visit they argued a double charge to my insurance comp for an oral consult. I have numerous stories of how my family has been mistreated and disrespected by everyone in the office, especially the front desk. My kids have two dental plans, 1 I pay for and the other through the state. I setup the dental for the kids using the insurance I pay for and expected them to use it. After they reviewed my account they decided to start using the state dental insurance since it paid out better then the one I pay for. It took me four to five appointments (arguments) to get it straightened out, and they were completely rude about it. How arrogant and greedy they are
Greenberg and Staff at the Kissimmee office are only interested in what they could charge the insurance. They treat people like animals. It's very hard to see a Dentist, because they keep re-scheduling the appointments, and when you get there they treat you very badly. My children were scheduled for routine cleaning, but they did not get the service. At Greenberg Dental they take X-rays one day and a couple months later they schedule the cleaning. The people at the front desk seems to be working at a market, they are very rude and have no training for dealing with human beings. I really don't understand how they are still in business. People needs better treatment, and neeed to look for the good dentists in town.
Dr. Vidal "found" a "cracked" tooth during an exam and insisted that I needed it crowned - it was so bad. When he did the procedure he CROWNED THE WRONG TOOTH!!!!!!!!! I now have 2 crowns instead of one. He tried to charge my insurance company for HIS mistake, and it turned out there had never been a crack at all!!!!! This was verified by another dentist prior to the crown correction.
This place is horrible. It is a factory. The reschedule, cancelled or gave me wrong times for EVERY appointment I scheduled. The doctor, Dr. Sanchez, had no time to ask me anything about the pain my tooth was causing and actually acted irritated that I would actually be complaining that my tooth hurt. The crown I received did not fit, and I had to fight to have them file it down t fit properly in my mouth. Final straw was when I had to get a root canal, put me on pencillian for a week before procedure, then when I arrived for my 1:00 appt. told me it was at 12 and that Dr. Sanchez had prior engagements and that he would be leaving so he could not perform the procedure that day...this was a scheduled 2 hour procedure that I arrived at 12:25 (thinking I was early) and they tell me he is on his way out the door. I had taken time off of work, been taking meds for a week and they just told me no way not today. I will never go back there and advise anybody and everybody to avoid!!
I agree with the person who said this is a factory. And it's a busy one at that -- too busy. It's almost impossible to get an appointment for basic service unless you're willing to wait a month or so from the time you call.
While this practice has competent doctors, the organization is a DENTAL FACTORY. Never in my life have I ever had to jump through so many hoops to get dental care- their m.o. is to book you multiple appointments for exams without doing any dental work!. They will not, say, do an exam and a routine dental cleaning in the same visit, not to mention, god forbid, if you needed a procedure done. I had to wait *weeks* to have an infected tooth pulled here- The office staff are often surly and rude over the phone (AT LEAST IN CASSELBERRY, can't vouch for other offices here.) and their office hours are closed conveniently (for them) at 330 p.m. which makes it hard for working people. Do yourself a favor and do not patronze dental factories ... bad customer service and a lack of respect for patients needs.
Greenberg Dental is the worst dental practice! We had breakfast on the way to our early morning dental cleaning appointment. The hygienist (if she really was certified) only blasted our teeth with some sort of baking soda tasting spray. She never used any instruments, polishers, or even floss. When we left we still had bagel stuck in our teeth. I would not take my dog to this office!
I went to aileen trivedi of greenberg for a gum issue i was having in nov.05 . she told me not to worry about that area but i need to spend 1900 dollars for 2 crowns on teeth in area of concern . after the 3rd time i consulted her reguarding this area she finally sent me to another dentist dr alvarez who thought there may be a problem i need to see an endodontist . so i went to an endo. not affiliated with greenberg and i had to have surgery to remove infected tissue . left untreated would have resulted in tooth loss, gum loss, and more bone loss.i had the surgery 3/06 no more pain . had i done treatment through trivedi i would have paid 2000$and would have lost those teeth because of her unconcern and training inexperience.
Greenberg is a machine and its patients are like cows to them. Move them in and out as fast as possible. Their front office staff is unfriendly and disorganized. They said it would take over a week for me to see the oral surgeon for an emergency. (Ended up going to an out of network oral surgeon and paying $850 to have my wisdom teeth pulled) Overall they are a terrible organization and should stop growing out when they can't even handle what they have now.
