Dr. Unterman has been my doctor for five years, I had my first heart attack in 2001 and went to a diffirent dr. they did stress test and other procedures and said they could not find anything, then I had another one in 2002, they couldn't find any thing,. I had one in 2010 and unterman came in and done a cath, on me I had 3 blockages in my heart with one being in my main aorta gong into the heart he went in and put a stint right then. I still have 2 blockages on each side of my heart but not stinted yet. I also have blocked arteries in my neck that a vascular surgeon said he couldn't tell me how blocked they were but unterman told me and he checks them every 6 months. I would recommend this Dr. to anyone I think he is a wonderful Dr. He has been my father- in-laws dr. for many many years he done open heart surgery on my father-in law 2 years ago and put a pace maker in him and he is 86 years old. and he done a wonderful job.

Dr. Marc Unterman is one of the most highly skilled cardiologists in the state of Georgia. He placed a stent in my heart in 2005. He has done hundreds of these surgeries and is very qualified, as well as knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and compassionate. You are in very safe hands with Dr. Unterman!

I had 100 Blockage in my LAD. I went through massive testing and was told I was nothing could be done to there was hope and open heart was scheduled for the 16th. After two hospitals another surgeon came in and told me that Dr. Unterman (looked at my test and wanted to do the same cath that was done on Monday because he thought he saw something on the test. Well I was taken to the other hospital right into the Cath Prep Room and taken in the surgery room. There I heard him say "I love it when my hunches are right! I knew that this was good news. Dr. Unterman told me he was able to break through the blockage and put a stent in and I was not going to have to have open heart (which was scheduled for Fri Dec 16th) I told him he was my Angel and cried. I cannot tell you the care I receive from Dr. Unterman and the gratitude I will always have for him. He is such a good and caring surgeon that I trust him with my life. He is the one who took the chance where no one would!!!

I am also confused by the 2009 posting. Dr. Unterman is a fine skilled cardiologist who performed cardiac surgery on me personally in October 2011. He is highly respected, caring, friendly and a doctor that I will continue to use. Other members of my family prefer him as their cardiologist as well.

Went to see Dr Unterman due to family history 3 years ago and did a stress test. He released me and told me I shouldn't come back until my vitals changed. 5 months later had a heart scan that came back bad and revisited this with him. He reluctantly suggested a nuclear stress test, and after having the test, it indicated at 165 beats per minute that there could be blockage. I than had a angiogram that showed 100, 98, 70, and 60 blockage. Glad I was proactive versus the reactive posture presented by this doctor, or I would be dead today. Went to see him today and ended up walking out after waiting for an 8:45 AM appointment for an hour and 15 minutes. In my case I don't feel as if he is proactive and I'm switching to Dr Romm with CVG. He came recommended by a nurse that has worked for both doctors and indicated that Dr. Romm is proactive.
