He might be knowledgeable but he lacks people skills. He is very unprofessional, all he is interested in is how much money he can make off his patients. When you are scheduled for an appointment you have to wait hours to get in...also he tells his patients that he is not making enough money off you because we don't come see him often enought so go find another doctor. He also said he won't look at 2 things at a time, even if they are important. I refuse to go to him anymore, i will go to the clinic. I made a formal complaint to Compensation about him. He told my husband that "I am going to write a bad report to Compensation and I will still be get my case of Beer."
This doctor is not a very good doctor, very bad bed side manner, needs to go back to school, he might have some knowledge, he needs to be more understanding and caring to his patient, this doctor has moved around alot i wouldnt recommend to nobody
Very knowledgeable and thorough doctor. Doesn't leave any stone unturned. I have a lot of respect for him as when I was ill, he did anything and everything he could do to help me. He answered all my questions and was sure to explain the reasons why certain tests were run and why they were needed. I was quite impressed by his thoroughness - he wasn't quitting until every option was ruled out and he got to the bottom of the case. Not very many family doctors spend as much time with their patients like Dr. Kumar, perhaps this is why the wait times are as long as they are. But when it comes to my health, I'm willing to wait as long as I have to in the waiting room - that's why the magazines are there. Very flexible with their scheduling - his nurse (Kris) is very friendly and always remembers my name when I come in. They make a great team and are highly recommended. A great family practice that makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in their door. Great work Kris and Dr. Kumar.
This doctor has always been very helpful to me, I have never had a doctor who was so caring and kind, I do not mind a little waiting at the office but the wait times could improve a bit, as some of us do come from out of town, and is hard to sit for hrs when we have to travel. Overall I do not have anything negitive to say about my doctor.
Very caring. Takes time for the patient and is worth waiting for. Very happy to see this doctor.
I had this doctor for about 2 years and never had a problem before I became really sick. I had to go to the ER I was in so much pain, the ER only treated my sympotons and advised me to go to my family doctor ASAP. I did just that, I started to tell him about the pain and that I had to go to the ER because it was in the middle of the night. As soon as I said that he became very mean and he refused me treatment becuase I went to the ER! He started to tell me about how many people he had to take care of and why should he have to worry about my test results!! Espacilly when he didn't order the test. I left his office in tears and he came after me yelling at me to find another doctor! Please take this seriously do not use this doctor!
Your first appointment of the day 9:00am ? You would be lucky to get in by noon!! No respect for the working person. If I made my clients wait that long I would be out of business. Every test he sends you on is cancer related. He is fixed on everyone having or getting cancer. It is quicker for me to go out of town to a walk in clinic than make an appointment with him.
Dr Kumar is a very good doctor and has his patience best interest in mind at all times. He tells it like it is wether you want to hear it or not. He is very very knowledgeable in the field of medicine and a very caring doctor. He can relate to many different people on many different levels. I have had many doctors in Chatham and he by far is the best. His nurse /assistant /receptionist /wife wears many hats and keeps the office flowing well and should also get lots of credit for her compassion and caring of the patience as well, We hope Dr Kumar and Chris are around for a long time to come, Keep up the good work
He does not hesitate to use intimidation, bullying and rudeness to get his patients to do as what he wants.
I was seen by this individual in the ER. I explained my condition and what my specialist suggested be done if this problem occurred. He suggested a medication that I have been told not to take (by serveral doctors). After I explained why I did not want this med and requested he contact my specialist, he immediately walked out. Eventually a nurse came and injected a medication. As she was doing this I asked what it was . . . it was the medication I requested not to have. While I was not allergic to the medication, it often causes people with my disease to experience more pain. I asked to see the doctor, who did not return to my bed for 5 hours. I spent those 5 hours cramped up in the fetal position in more pain then I was in prior to when I came in. When I told my specialist of the incident, he simply shock his head and indicated that in the future to simply tell the ER Doctors that I was allergic to the med.
