I'm a male patient, for approximately 10 years. She is kind, sincere, and well knowledged. I have had many appointments with her, and I'm thankful for the professional treatment I have recieved. I highly recommend Dr. Shepherd for both male and female patients.
A good and caring doctor, but it's impossible to get a timely appointment. Medical check-ups are booked 3-4 months in the future. I rarely call when I have an ailment because I have to wait for 3 weeks to get an appointment.
I've been her patient for the past 10 years and she is consistently knowledgeable and up to date on current issues/treatments. I feel lucky to have her for a doctor.
Dr.Sue took me as a patient when I was pregnant, gave wonderful care, and helped me in having the best labour and delivery experience. My follow-up care always made me feel special... she really cares about me (and her patients in general). I transferred into the practice, along with my husband and baby... and we couldn't be happier. She is knowledgeable of alternative care as well, and doesn't push what you don't want (she listens). Yvonne, at the front desk, is awesome too!
Dr.Sheppard is one of the most wonderful physicians I have ever had! She was my doctor in Dryden Ontario for several years and was not only my doctor , but my mother's and my sister's and we all loved her equally! She became apart of all our hearts as well as her husband especially when we lost my brother to cancer! Anyone who recieves Patty as their doctor , you can trust her knowledge, her gratious bedside manner and someone who will not treat you as a NUMBER! And that's difficult to come by these days!!!
Dr. Sue was awesome for both pregnancy's. She seems genuinely interested in your life and how you are doing.
I have seen Dr. Shepherd a couple of times in the emerge. She's stitched both my children and has seen me with an ailment. She has wonderful bedside manner and made us all feel comforted in an otherwise not so pleasant experience. She was wonderful to my children when they had gone in for their stitches and even took precautions for me when I went in for a stomach ailment (I am very nervous of hospitals) and had something ordered for me in case I needed it to calm me. That wasn't even related to what I came in for but she went that extra step to ensure I was at ease. That shows compassion. She listened to me whereas a lot of doctors won't even give you the time of day. I hate hospitals but I would go if I had to and was assured that the doctor on call was just like Dr. Shepherd!
I was very happy to have Dr. Sheppard for my first pregnancy, she was understanding and my labour and eventual c-section went well.
Dr. Sue always follows up to make sure that all is well. She takes the time to listen and cares about what you say. She does not "talk down." Her receptionist, Val, is helpful, very organized and polite. S.W.
