Ratings for Dr. Stephen J. King
Staff is terrible on follow up. I had to call to find out the test results. Nurse was unable to answer questions and I was told Dr. King will not call and talk to patients. That may explain the over 2.5 hour wait it would have taken to see him to find out answers to questions that shoykd have been answered when the test results cane back. I had to ask about each and every aspect of the results and after paying for copies of the results, I learned of results that were out if the normal range. Lookslike they wouldhave addressed those. Dr. King was great during the visit. Everything after that was frustrating and, I felt, unprifessional. Uf you have lots of time and dont mind finding out your results for test you've paid for and dont mind a dr. that expects youto wait in excess of 2.5 hours to learn what other dr. offices would tell you when they call you to discuss test results, then this place may work for you.
Dr. King is one of the best doctors in Birmingham. First of all, he is incredibly knowledgeable. Second, he has a way of relating to children and not being scary. We waited for 4 months for our pediatrician to diagnose our son's issue. Within 5 minutes of meeting us, Dr. King knew what was wrong. He then did testing to verify. He has been helpful every step of the way. Without Dr. King we would still be giving our child ineffective medicine our pediatrician was throwing at us. I will say that we have waited to see him before, but it is entirely worth it. He was incredibly kind to us, which was quite different than our experience with our pediatrician. He didn't seem annoyed by our questions and concerns. He's simply the best.
My daughter was refered to Dr. King. We were very impressed with him my daughter loves him he is a very great doctor for kids and very through he was able to help her and she looks forward to visits with Dr.King. He also acts like he really cares about her.. Shes not just another patient..
Dr. King has been wonderful doctor for my daughter! From the start, he took my daughter's case very seriously when I couldn't get her pediatrician to listen to me. He is also very easy to talk to, and nothing but patient and kind when treating my daughter.
