I researched for an internist online in 2006 before choosing Dr. Melanie Montgomery because she was board certified. Excellent decision. I have never had a doctor spend so much time with me. My problem is perplexing and Dr. Montgomery approached it like a detective referring me to several doctors for testing and having many other tests performed for her evaluation. I continue under her patient and knowledgeable treatment; I definitely recommend her to anyone needing an internal medicine doctor. Her staff is so nice and caring and I have never had to wait the typical waiting time either in the outer office or when back in a room (you know how some doctors will park you in an exam room for about an hour). I had a little trouble getting some paperwork filled out and sent back in a timely fashion, but in their defense, that is handled by their business office which is the business office for all of the UAB medical center in Huntsville and Dr. Montgomery's office took care of it.
