Ratings for Dr. V Edmondson
Visited this doctor and found her to be the exact opposite to all the comments. She was gentle, knowledgeable and understanding.
She is cold, rude, and judgemental. if you expect an explanation or an actual diagnosis, give up and find a real doctor.
Why and how in the world does this dr still have her license!? I went to the walk-in to look for a referral for a psychiatrist because I don't like my family doctor and no-one is taking new patients. It was a Friday early evening and she asked me why I came there and that coming in around that time would make it difficult to give me the help that I needed. She proceeded to fill me a prescription for an antidepressant because it was the same one that my mom is taking and filled out a form for me the get blood work done for a thyroid problem, which I didn't mention at all, I was there to seek mental help. She is the worst doctor I am ever seen, DO NOT GO TO HER!
Absolutely Horrible! My wife was completely disregarded by this woman who calls herself a doctor. After being in the country for about 3.5 months, we finally attempted to make contact with any doctor who could give us advice on my wife's situation which keeps getting progressively worse. We don't have a gp yet for any of my family yet as there are no drs accepting new patients. It was some lazy Sat afternoon and my wife hadn't slept at all in 3 full days, so we decided to go to a walk-in and ask about what we should do about my wife's situation as she has lost 50 lbs in the last 6 months, has constant pain, can't regularly sleep and can't regularly eat. We weren't looking for a diagnoses from her. We just wanted a friendly person with knowledge to listen and help us figure out where to go since there are no drs accepting new patients. This so called doctor though did not want to hear anything about what was going on with her and was questioning why were even there in the first place. After my wife started briefly explaining what was going on, she immediately was asking what why we came in and that we needed to go to a gp to figure anything out. It was the rudest and coldest reception I have ever seen from a so called doctor. I tried to plead with her to figure out what we were supposed to do since she thought us showing up there was absolutely ridiculous. She really didn't have an answer other that we need to go to the 1 doctor in all of the okanagan valley accepting new patients. A person who I had already previously looked up here to find a very hated practitioner I might add. Please stay away from this woman as she doesn't care one bit about what people might be going through.
I visited a walk in for cold/flu like symptoms. She took one look at my throat and said I have strep. No swab, nothing. I told her about how it seems a virus is going around my office, but she insisted she can tell strep by looking at it. She was short and rude, after deciding I have strep throat. Gave me antibiotics, and said that's all I can do. A week later, my throat was still sore, and I broke out in hives. Went to another doctor at a different walk in. He told me I had a virus, and was being treated with heavy antibiotics, that for one, should have only been prescribed for 7 days at the most, not 10 as she had done. And the hives is a reaction to being on this medication that my body doesn't even need.
I visited Dr. Edmonson at the Primacy Walk in Clinic one evening and was very unsatisfied with her service. I came in due to nagging stomach pain that was radiating into my back. This condition has been coming and going for the past couple of months and this was told to Dr. Edmonson. I asked if it could be a bladder infection and after she preceded to press on my stomach a little, she asked if I wanted a urine test. Of course I want some kind of test to find out what is wrong that is why I wasted my time in the waiting room to see a doctor in the first place. The test came back negative so she told me to go home take some advil or Tylenol and wait to see if the pain goes away. I feel like I have already taken this approach as this has been a nagging pain that has come and gone for the past couple of months like I told her. Her instructions to wait and see did not include how long to wait nor what to do if the pain does not go away. I continue to have the discomfort and will seek help elsewhere as Dr. Edmonson's service was not useful and very far from proactive. I have two small children and I do not normally run to a doctor for any reason. This on going pain has me concerned that something is wrong and a professional's help is what I was seeking. I do not feel that professional help is what I got at all.
