Had a chronic illness all my life. Second time at the ER in this hospital. Wait times are horrible. The dr I saw last night was insensitive, over whelmed and irritable. He was wearing clear glasses with gold accents on it. Steer clear.

Nurses have no actual concern for patients in emergency. Due to them wanting to rush people out as fast as possible, and not listening properly to dr instructions, I ended up vomiting blood and acid. They also need some sensitivity training about people with chronic illness or pain. I get it was busy. No reason to treat people in severe pain or illness like they are in the hospital just to annoy you

terrible treatment. I was in for a month. During month was overdosed with morphine, sent to ICU then was accused of being responsible for it. I took meds I was given by staff. I was very sick with pancreatic failure and was treated badly by some nurses and wonderful by others. The constant changing your doctor was difficult because each had different treatment plan. I will never go near VJH AGAIN

I noticed the hospital doesn't update the office desks and chairs for their own workers. How can we rely on quality service from that view point ...

i was brought into emergency on the 30 of December. I was shaking uncontrollably, sweaty hands, unable to make any logical speech, was having what felt like anxiety attacks upon attacks and going in and out of consciousness. The doctor that served me said that i looked like i was coming off of drugs-detoxing. Since i suffer from huge migraines, i have on occasion used medical cannabis. this doctor treated me like i was a drug addict and did little to help and had a TERRIBLE bedside manner. They sent me home!!! I didn't get better...I got worse. If it were not for my husband and friends, I would have gone into a HYPOGLYCEMIC Comma! They said my blood work was fine, the CT scan was fine.....I was NOT fine! Early this am i was slipping into comma. If my husbands friend had not had a wife with Hypoglycemia, I would not be writing this now. This doctor-Don't know his name.....He should be ashamed of himself. 1st. for realizing that all this time if it hadn't been for cannabis I would already be dead (perhaps he should become educated because he showed himself to be HUGELY incompetent!) 2nd. because-doctors are supposed to be nonjudgmental and be helpful. Doctor(short guy with beard) you should be ashamed! You do not belong helping people that need it. I am very disappointed with what went on and hope of hope never get such an incompetent doctor again. I am thankful that i am now slightly stronger...on the mend (i hope) NOT due to the so called doctor at the triage in vernon b.c...I can't say enough....YOU are a terrible doctor that was letting me die. a 42 yr old healthy, non drinker, non drug user, vegetarian who exercises daily and tries to be the best person she can be. Shame on you.

After numerous visits with sick elderly parents, I am very grateful for the staff members who care for the patients and for their compassion in dealing with worried family members . The staff deserves all the stars. The wonderful doctors, Dr.Oswald and staff of 2 east.Christy,Rob and others are very kind. . There is wonderful nurse that wears the nurse's cap -who was like an angel and I will never forget how she helped me through a tough time on one occasion when my family member was sick. i have seen many acts of kindness towards the patients and experienced it myself. Despite medical priorities in a busy hospital,Dr.Oswald took the time to follow up with concerns I had.My parent is in good hands. I really don't think the staff realize how much each act of kindness means when you feel like you are losing some one you love. Compassionate staff delivering medical treatment that is truly medical care.

Love this Hospital..One of the best, Staff are the best, very friendly and a lot of smiles..Love the design too. Worst hospital I have been in was Kelowna. They are so dam rude...The best hospital in my option Is Kamloops who saved TWO of my family members on two diff occasions although not the friendliest place.
