I think this MEDICAL SITE needs a lot of UPGRADING .... It actually tells you NOTHING about each Surgeon ... All I can say is WAKE-UP ... There is such a good amount on information available through FACEBOOK ... and Like it... or NOT... New Zealand and especially TAURANGA is NOT up with the PLAY ... I can see NOTHING that is advocating the Best Surgery required for the enquiring PATIENT from the BEST Surgeon available .... ALL provided information is Years... Yes .. Years OUT OF DATE!? Andrew has done a hip replacement and knee replacement on me. He is an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him. My knee replacement was pain free and I could have got rid of my crutches in the first week. My hip replacement was also very successful and a very fast recovery time with little pain. I am now waiting for him to do my other knee

In 1992 my husband and I were desperately seeking a orthopaedic surgeon to help us... my husband was only 26 at the time and desperately needed a hip replacement... He had one leg shorter than the other and a fused hip from a previous motor bike accident.... no other surgeon would touch him till we met Andy... We had 2 young children at the time and my husband had a very hard job requiring him to work long and strenuous hours. We explained our situation and had to go before a panel of board head surgeons to plead our case. People 26 years on my husband still hasn’t had another replacement and still doing the same job with no pain. He goes to the gym is fit healthy and strong... We haven’t seen Andrew Mac Diarmid for 24 years, We are so thankful to him for giving us quality of life...

I had 2 major surgeries with Andy 8 and 6 years ago. One in Private and one in public. I found him very knowledgable in his area, very polite and pleasant. He always answered any questions and he sent me for second opinions before we went ahead with the surgeries.

Very unimpressed. Not helpful, talks to you as if you are just a number. Had to get a second opinion after seeing him and was given all the help I needed and more. Would never recommend to anyone!
