I had high hopes that Jain would help with postpartum depression, but she refused to prescribe my antidepressant. I am still appalled that she, as a psychiatric midwife, refused to recognize and treat postpartum depression. Thankfully, my therapist wrote the phone number for a psychiatrist who finally prescribed the antidepressants… 3 months after I initially asked Jain for help.
