She took excellent care of me in the emergency room in Penticton hospital! I was impressed by her thoroughness, knowledge, and caring. I had a complex situation going on, and she worked it out and helped to get me on the right track, and even arranged follow up appointment with a specialist for me. And the ER nurse Brett was excellent too! Very impressed.

I had to go to emergency at the Nelson Hospital to seek treatment for recurrent Afib episodes shortly after my second Ablation procedure at Kelowna General Hospital. Dr. Johannson took the time with me that I needed to explain the situation in detail despite being extremely busy in emergency that particular day. She even went so far as to call the Heart Rhythm Clinic at Kelowna General Hospital to speak with one of the surgeons and get more detail on my condition and prescription details which she then also verified with a local Internist. I personally thought she went above and beyond to make sure I was receiving the appropriate care and medications and am so very grateful for her expertise. Thank you so very much Dr. Johannson!

I never saw her the first ti,me `I entered the clinic, I was very ill resulting from tension headache an suffering from hypothyroidism caused from a misdiagnosis. I also have hypotension and the blood pressure always gets much lower with these headaches. ```the `ash levels of thyroid never maintained properly due to ht and miss treatment of thyroid prescription dosages that caused the immediate onslaught of osteoporosis within less than 3 years due to TSH rapidly rising and falling and the development of high cholesterol levels. Liver damage MCV level was noted in 1999 to 2004 from again being prescribed incorrect medication. The RN took my blood pressure which was very low. and noted I was dehydrated. Due to vomiting I could not keep water down it made me ill. Possibly due to chlorine gassed water who knows... The RN went to speak with Johnson in another room. Intravenous fluid was prescribed for hydration. I was surprised when I requested my medical records that Johnson entered that I was an alcoholic. She never saw me, knew me or my medical history . apparently the problem was the nursing staff opinions and gossip which I have endured for years throughout this community which led to the original misdiagnosis that caused the rproblems besides incorrect hormonal replacement therapy after a hysterectomy at the age of 34 years old. Everyone also overlooked the fact that I had been a battered wife of 8 years and there was damage to spine and neck from the violence. after they emergency visit again a serious issue develops when a doctor prescribed too low a dosage of thyroid medication pushing TSH LEVLES UP TO 165,08 within a week from 0,26 to 165,08...the lie test went to JOHNNSON AND SHE NOTED WHO DO I SEND THIS TO? You would think that this would be an emergency. But such is the life in Kaslo and my ultimate death in this community. I just hope to GOD I am not buried in the Kaslo cemetery.hope its far away from this hell pit.

We brought our toddler to the hospital in the middle of the night for her fever and a rash. This doctor did a very through examination and ordered some tests, even though we had been dismissed by another doctor earlier in the same day as just a virus. It turned out our little girl had a serious condition of her blood, and she was transferred to Trail hospital to the pediatrics floor. She ended up having a transfusion which we beleive saved her life. And this was all during Covid where we are told not to come to the emergency room unless it's life threatning. We are so greatful we had Dr. Johansen that night!

She treated my husband in Nelson Emergency department for concussion. He had a trauma and we were very scared for him. She did a very through examination and found out what happened, then rechecked him several times over many hours and made sure he didn't get any worse. She was very thorough, and kind, and took the time to really explain everything that was going on and what we should look out for if anything was getting worse. I did not feel that she was rushed, even though it was very busy in the emergency room. She took the time to make sure we understood and was very knowledgable about concussion and gave us lots of info and latest research. He is doing well now. We felt we had a very good doctor that day.

Excellent care by Dr. Johansson in the Nelson emergency department. She is caring, takes time with you, and really knows her stuff. Great bed side manner also. She recognized immediately that my husband was seriously ill, and arranged transport to Kelowna immediately. He got 3 stents in his heart the same day. She saved his life. Thank you!

Dr. Johannson is new to Kaslo and our family is very happy to have her. She is very knowledgeable and caring, and always spends a long time talking to us about our issues and giving a thorough examination. We brought our mother in who has had health problems for a long time that were dismissed as ageing by other doctors but Dr. Johannson took the time to figure out what was really going on, and do the right tests, and now our mother has the proper treatment finally. We are lucky to have Dr. J here.
