Ratings for Dr. Mark N. Bruckner
Dr. Bruckner is a pretty good doctor. He calls you back very promptly. He spends a lot of time with you and your infant/child and there is never a waiting period. I am currently breast-feeding now and I've never encountered a negative view from him on breast-feeding. He's been an excellent doctor.
Overall Dr. Mark Bruckner has been a good doctor for my boys. However, he is a little on the quiet side, but the boys are totally confortable with him and that is what counts. Also, Dr. Bruckners returns phone calls promptly and if he does not know a solution to your problem, he will refer you to a specialist. He even went so far as to call during both days on the weekend to make sure one of my son was doing better after a serious allergic reaction to some medication. His staff is quite friendly and my overall experience with his office has been most pleasant over the last 7 years we have been seeing him.
This Dr. used an incorrect medication to treat an infant eye infection for us. When it didn't work, he recommended we give her no treatment. A second opion from another Dr gave us the correct medication and an eye massage technique that cleared the problem completely in three days after 1 month under Dr. Bruckner's care. Bruckner was not supportive of breastfeeding, asking repeatedly if we were supplementing our healthy growing infant. Bruckner showed no bed-side manner. When we went for the second opion on the eye problem we saw the diffence. Bruckner did not try to engage the baby at all, which the second Dr did. It was the first time she did not cry continually due to the second Dr's good bed-side manner. Finally, we had concerns about hepatitis, and brought currently published info to our visit. Bruckner claimed to know the disease well but told us info in direct opposition to data that was easily accessable to us as lay people.
