I would give a -(negative) 100 if it were possible. Kate Makohon almost killed me. I went into Rockwall Presby ER in serious pain, it was my appendix. I was told after CT scan it had not ruptured. Surgery early morning was performed by Kate Makohon at Lakeside Surgery. At post OP, was informed my appendix ruptured. I was in the hospital for several days and then released to go home. A few days later the pain still was not subsiding, I called the office with issues I was having. I went back to Presby Rockwall ER, due to excruciating pain and serious problems breathing. The CT scan revealed internal bleeding. They started blood transfusion and notified me I would be flown to Dallas Presby or I would die. Trauma surgeons at Presby Dallas found my spleen had been cut and it was removed. I was given 6 units of blood and 2 units of plasma. The Trauma team ( by the way fantastic surgeons at Dallas Presby) was not sure how she cut my spleen, it is upper left part of my body and the appendix is on the lower right side. I woke up in ICU and spent over a week in hospital, I have a scar that runs down the center of my stomach from ribs to naval now. And, I experienced a few more difficulties that had me back at the hospital after that also. I was on medical leave from my job for 2 months and I am a single mother. My dad had just died 5 months previous to the operation and my youngest son who was close to him was still grieving. My son had serious depression and anxiety when this happened and he was at the hospital with me the night they flew me to Dallas Presby. You have no idea what this has done to him. My oldest son is special needs, they really only have me. My recovery took longer than two months believe me...and the impact on my finances! Never have her treat you, you are placing your life in danger!
