Ratings for Dr. Barry C. Lomax
Did phone consult regarding various treatment approaches available for a recent cancer diagnosis. Very informative. I had no idea of all the options. Told me about treatment centers in US and abroad and explained each approach. Well worth the call.
I went to this Dr. and thought he was good. I had not been feeling well for a while. I had stomach pain and pain in my knee from arthritis. He examined me and when he pushed on my stomach it hurt. He said it was the liver area. We did blood tests and my liver enzymes were elevated. I was taking a ton of Tylenol for my knee and he told me to stop. I didn't even know Tylenol was bad for the liver. Why doesn't anyone tell people that? So he gave me some herbs for my liver and we tested it again in a month and the liver was ok then. I got some natural stuff for my arthritis and some digestive stuff and it all worked. I am happy. Ellen T.
I don't think the practice information on this site is current for this Doctor. I think he moved back to the east coast but I'm not sure. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I went to this Doctor many years ago and I thought he was really sweet. He was working in a state run drug and alcohol rehab program and I was his patient. I had a lot of problems back then and he helped me so I can just have a drink or two and stop there. I had some abusive relationships and went to alcohol to numb the pain. He gave me some natural medicines and it helped. But what really helped the most was when he counseled me. I told him how I never felt worthy and always felt like I needed to do more to be worthy. I will NEVER forget what he said to me. He said, Why do you feel like you need to do anything to feel worthy? You don't need to do anything. You re a child of God, that's enough. It's what I needed to hear. It's funny that something so simple can have such an effect. :) Marilyn S.
I did a phone consult with him, because I live far away. He helped me straighten out my diet and helped me get started with juicing, smoothies and eating whole foods. I just started following his recommendations a week ago but I am starting to feel better and I have more energy.
A friend referred me to Dr. Lomax. She sees him for her MS and has really improved. I went to him for depression. I went in feeling awful and I left with a big smile on my face. He was awesome. I call him Dr. McDreamy, such a handsome, kind, funny and smart man. He helped me alot. I will definitely go back.
I saw this Dr. for weight loss and he was exceptional, much better than Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig. He told me how all the hormones affect my weight, helped balance them, helped me with my diet and exercise and gave he herbs/supplements that really worked. I lost all the weight I needed to lose and I am very happy! He also coached me on the emotional side of eating, he was so helpful.
I think this Dr. knows more about nutrition than anyone I have ever met. I feel so much better after a couple months of following his recommendations and my kids and husband say I look better too. If you want real nutrition and not just a bunch of pills go see him. He is good with herbs too.
