Biography
“I chose to specialize in Women’s Health care 15 years ago. I have experienced first-hand the stages women go through from starting menstrual cycles to giving birth to menopause and I feel that has enriched my ability to communicate effectively and guide women in their healthcare journey. Each person is unique and deserves health counseling tailored to their age, history and unique personality”, shares Washburn. She is practicing in the Women’s Health suite at 1311-A N. Mildred Road. She focuses her practice to care for the whole woman, including preventative care, well-woman visits, primary care, hormonal balance and functional medicine. Kim has broad medical experience to pull from as she has worked as an RN in the areas of Trauma, Medical ICU, ER, Home Health, OB and Public Health for 21 years. She has been a certified yoga instructor for 20 years and has worked extensively overseas in places like Pakistan and Africa. She likes to say, “Life is a journey, lets figure it out together.” Kim Washburn is excited to have moved to the area with her husband, a retired orthopedic surgeon, and enjoys skiing, hiking mountains all over the world, biking and travel as well as enjoying spending time with her four children ages 25-34.
