Long story short. My family roots run deep in Knox County. I have always saw Potential for KCH and saw it as a better option comparing to even more expanded/advanced hospitals like O.S.U, OhioHealth, etc. However as of recent, my mother needed care as an incident occured just after the Jan 2025. She needed to establish immediate care with M.D who she could get in to see right away. My mom has never been in/out of the Dr's much or E.R. In fact she has always been pretty strong, capable and an independent mom, woman, child of God. I made her an appt with Thomas McKinley M.D. (Do your homework) My mom is having a very tough/challenging time not being able to do the things shes used to even the simple things. She saw Thomas McKinley M.D on 4-7-25 for a 9:45am appt. She came in with tears in desperation for help get her pain under control as she has a newly double compression fracture, spinal stenosis that he never informed her of from CT, a fractured rib cage as of (sunday), herniated discs. She left with no hope and completely in despair only for Dr. McKinley to get aggravated with her saying "well once... you go and see Dr. Rasheed to get a bone marrow biopsy to get a confirmed diagnoses you will have all the pain meds you want cause then you will be on comfort care. I would never ever EVER Talk to a client, a patient in the manner he did to my mom. I dont care if you think its a certain diagnosis or not. You dont get to talk to clients/patients the way you did to my mother. I am not happy with you Dr. McKinley and what a failure you are as a provider and to the Network of Knox Community Hospital. Here is a few words of advise for you Thomas McKinley. You may see the patient as a number or maybe of no significance to you because its not your loved one. Im a transparent individual, Im a daughter and Child of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and advocate for Human Rights. They are the ones paying your paychecks. Also always remember your loved ones in mind of caring for others and your professionalism. I will never recommend Thomas McKinley M.D. to anyone for care. Theres so much more to say but I will update this when time comes.

Dr. McKinley is very kind, very thoughtful, and very personable. One of the best doctors I've ever been to. Unfortunately he moved from Westerville to Mt Vernon, so I couldn't continue to see him. I would recommend him very highly to anyone who wants a doctor who cares, and a doctor who has a nice personality. He's very human, not at all egotistical.
