Ratings for Dr. Daniela M. Costa
Be very cautious when taking your child to be tested by Dr. Costa. I took my child for testing. I honestly got the appointment times mixed up and was told by an employee when trying to reset the appointment that Dr Costa will purposely make you wait months to reset if you miss the appointment. She then proceeded to cancel my second appointment and then reset another appointment without my knowledge. Her bed side manner is awful. She didn’t take the time to talk to me about what I had experienced with my child. She spent thirty minutes with my child and stated in her report that my opinion was invalid! I’m the mother who spends the most time with them and my observations of their behaviors are invalid? I wish I had read the review before I took my child to her. My child stated that she didn’t ask any questions. Because I also beleive her testing is questionable. I don’t understand how this woman works with children. In her report for my child’s testing, she made it more about me than what my child was being tested for.
When I called in and was denied an appointment to meet "the doctor" before bringing in my daughter for testing, a bell went off in my head but I continued to move forward anyway. Daniela Costa is very impersonal and somewhat unprofessional. She fails to introduce herself upon the first visit, nor does she try to establish any kind of rapport with young patients so that they are comfortable. Testing results are VERY questionable! Please do your research before selecting this psychologist.
