I wish I had found Dr Emmons years ago. She goes out of her way to make you as comfortable as possible, and explains everything she is doing at all times. She listens very well, and makes sure you understand before she moves on to the next subject. She is obviously very knowledgeable, and is able to share that knowledge in a positive and helpful way. I feel very confident in her services.

After bouncing around and being passed around by other providers, I finally found Dr. E. Her style is laid back, thorough, really listens, and gives practical advice and treatment. I initially listed my complaints and she explained what she could do for each one and left the treatment choice up to me. She respected my priorities! And she remembers those priorities from one annual visit to the next. She is terrific for me.

Biography

Dr. Emmons grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended McGill University in Montreal for her undergraduate degree in biochemistry. She worked in immunology research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, and then attended the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University in 1989. She joined the OHSU OB/GYN faculty in 1989, and she most recently was an Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Education. Dr. Emmons's research interests include medical education and the use of acupuncture in women's health. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery and infectious disease. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
