Dr. Armour barely listened to my concerns. I had severe debilitating pain a few days after a subacromial injection into my shoulder that he performed. He dictated as we were talking and it felt like he was talking to me in 3rd person but I could’t really respond because he was recording. I felt he did not take my concerns seriously and even stated “I have never seen this after thousands of injections” even though cortisone flares can happen in up to 40% of patients. Empathy and acknowledging that something really painful had happened would have been appreciated. I also developed numbness in my fingers.. which he said is unrelated to a steroid shot…

Dr. Armour is AMAZING!!! He and his staff always offer empathetic concern when administering their care and expertise for my many orthopedic needs. I have had cortisone and gelsyn injections for arthritic pain in both knees. Dr. Armour explains the best options to care for my issues in the future. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and he offers solutions which assist in my care. The support staff also listens and shares their previous experiences with similar conditions, which makes me feel at ease with the care provided. I absolutely recommend Dr. Armour and the entire support staff at Cary Orthopedics!!! Lori Culberson

Dr. Armour went out of his way to treat our son w ACL injury. He had an incredible bedside manner and made a very upset and anxious kid (and parents) feel more at ease. We are so thankful for his knowledge, professionalism and kindness!

Dr Armour knows his stuff. He takes the time to explain my problems in a way I can understand. He is patient, knowledgeable and kind. He also explains the short-term and long-term prognosis, the treatments and the outcomes. He is also detail orientated and pays attention to what I say. This is my third visit to him. He has proven himself reliable and consistent. I definitely will be seeing him again.

Dr Armour has no bed-side manner. He cut me off when I tired to ask a question. At the end of a visit, he dictates notes into his computer and that is also his instructions to the patient so he expects you to listen to his dictation instead of looking at you and telling you what he wants you to do. He is very perfunctory.

The Dr dictated his notes for my chart into a computer and did not discuss any of his thoughts or recommendations with me before or after. He did not discuss the possibility of a blood clot and what steps I should take to avoid one. I left with pain my foot. The doctor said my pain wasn’t bad and he does not really seem to understand a patient’s pain. If I ever need another ortho doctor, it won’t be this one.
