I wasn't sure if I had made the right choice in approaching a chiropractor over an orthopedist, but when waves of relief came in quickly after each of my first two visits, any doubts that I had vanished quickly.\r\n\r\nAs it turned out, he had figured out almost immediately that I had some ionic imbalances in my muscles that responded fast to the tablets that he had me chew speculatively on the first visit to his office. A year earlier, the physician who I had approached at an early stage of my symptom development had ordered blood tests that were inconclusive, and he left it at that. I chalk up this contrast to Dr. Hamel's excellent medical intuition.\r\n\r\nProgress slowed after the first week and there were some inevitable periods of regression, but eight weeks later, I am in far, far better shape, and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have stuck with his instructions of stretching and strengthening exercises and supplement recommendations. He has a very comforting and easygoing manner and the physiotherapy he does at each visit leaves me feeling healed and relaxed. Did I mention that I had some other issues that I thought were unrelated that also vanished during the treatment?\r\n\r\nMoreover, his assistant is great too, and waiting on a roller table is far superior to sitting in the waiting room.
