Anna front office is rude. Refused to call cva to refill my rx! States dr will not fill out authorization form that I need for an rx. What dr would "refuse" to do this! When you have a visit, he doesn't listen to you. You are rushed rushed to get to the next patient. Rude staff!
Been a patient of Dr. Gupta for a while. Have always received excellent care. Very knowledgeable. Office staff is friendly and professional. Would highly recommend.
I agree most of these people are blind. Dr Gupta does not care to listen to you at all. His attitude comes across as rude and a know it all. Office visits are rushed. I had rectal bleeding that he diagnosed as hemrroids with asking me any questions or physical exam. Simply HORRIBLE !
Dr. Gupta performs a valuable service to the community in colonic screenings. Have read other reviews and did not find them to hold true. He is efficient and his staff is as well. And prep and day of colonoscopy could not be smoother. I require regular colonoscopies and the facility and staff in Conway are excellent--businesslike and organized.
I went to Dr. Gupta because I was having recurring upper stomach issues. He stated that I needed to have a colonoscopy & endoscopy done. I have to get Dr. Gupta credit, he did find flat polyp & referred me to MUSC. I was told these types of polyps are hard to catch. What I didn't like about Dr. Gupta is I had to ASK him to look @ my records from my prev dr . He barely looked at them. I felt he just didn't want to waste time with me because his waiting room was packed. The in and out dr.
I don't feel like Dr. Gupta listened to or addressed my concerns. He seems more worried about immediately scheduling a Endoscopy/Colonoscopy. His staff is okay, rather curt about things. When you sit in his office, waiting, all you hear is them making appointment after appointment for the endoscopy/colonoscopy. It's apparent that those procedures are his big money makers. If you have an already diagnosed/chronic concern, he might be okay. However if you have something more difficult to diagnose or something odd, he isn't your man. It is cookie cutter medicine there, no imaginative or inventive approaches and certainly no holistic or functional medicine. Overall, I was very disappointed!
I was very fortunate to have found Dr. Gupta when I was having a problem with blood/iron readings. I was told I needed to find an MD who would have knowledge of liver readings. A liver biopsy proved to be a DX of Hemochromatosis which necessitated many blood drawings to bring the readings down. I felt very lucky to have had an MD at that particular time as it could have proved to be a big problem if not diagnosed. He was excellent for colonoscopies and endoscopies when needed. It became necessary to make a move to family and I am sorry I will not be a patient of his any longer.
I just got out of his office . I am extremely upset. The other comments people are saying about him are accurate. He is very rude , cuts you off when trying to explain , only saw me for 5 minutes and prescribed meds I have already taken and told him did not work ! It was a waste of money and time !!
Dr. Gupta was an amazing doctor, he spent time with me and was very courteous. I highly recommend him!
Are the rest of these people blind? This doctor is an arrogant jerk! He literally walks in, doesnt let you ask questions without over talking, and if you want to make a decision about YOUR OWN BODY, he disagrees. I asked if he could merely prescribe me VSL (probiotic capsules) and he gave me some lame excuse that they will cause pancreatitis. Definitely fits in the category of Westernized Big Pharma doctor. I've asked to get my blood work done several times, and he says he cannot do that. It sounds crazy but he fits the perfect stereotype of doctors trying to keep you ill so they can make money. Since I left him, I stopped the prednisone, continued asacol and went against his word to use Natural means over prescription drugs, and I'm happy to say within 6 months of diagnosis (September, what is now March), I am in full remission! I'm now seeing naturopathic doctor which helps me get to the root of the problem (Chrons). Good luck to all of you. By the way, i'm 22 healthy male, student.
