Ratings for Dr. Daniel L. Crane
3.2
As a manic depressive, I am prone to severe bouts of depression and occasional suicidal tendencies. I called my therapist, Christina Johnstone, to ask for some help and if needed, some new medication to help me control my urge to kill myself. I communicated this to the secretary, Nicole, who not only didn't put me through, but told me I'd need to come in. I honestly don't know what the next few hours have in store for me, but I do know that I'm not going anywhere that woman is.
Dr. Cranes office is amazing. I don't see him personally--I see Christine Johnstone, the nurse practitioner. I have been a patient at this office for over 2 years and have nothing but great things to say about them. Christine Johnstone is a very caring and passionate provider and I would recommend her to anyone. As far as Nicole the office manager, shes the best. I have worked in healthcare and you have no idea how hard it is to deal with insurance companies. Additionally if you haven't noticed the entire practice is managed by Nicole, a pen, and a notebook. Given the fact that she has such limitations with managing such a busy practice she is doing great. She needs an assistant and a computer that actually does something other than play music. If it weren't for Nicole many of you would have sooo many problems with your insurance providers covering your psychiatric treatment. Give her some credit.. Shes not there to make you smile!
Personally, I have had nothing but pleasant experiences at Dr. Cranes' practice. Dr. Crane is an excellent doctor and was able to access and provide aid for my situation in a very timely fashion. In regards to the receptionist, Nicole, I completely disagree with the other comments alluding to her "lack of professionalism." She may not be "pleasant" at all times, but she is most certainly professional. I have called on several occasions, to request the soonest appointment possible and she has been able to make same day accommodations every time; which I absolutely love due to my incredibly busy schedule. I am very fond of the practice and I will most definitely remain a patient and recommend anyone who is in need of the quality care that Dr. Crane provides.
This office is a very professional and helpful office. The only reason anyone would have anything bad to say is because that person just can't get there way. This office is ethical and professional. There are a lot of patient I have seen just coming out of there face with profanity and unrealistic request which would get anyone in trouble. If you want help they are there to give it. As far as Nicole is concerned she really k knows her stuff and handles herself like any other service provider should.
Nicole is the most unprofessional receptionist I have ever come across. I am no longer a patient of this doctor due to her behavior and her abrasive attitude. I went to see a new doctor who was kind and assured me the behavior demonstrated by Nicole would NOT be tolerated in her office. I am very thankful I never have to speak to her again and be hung up on several times. I researched reviews after I witnessed Nicole's bad behavior and it seems that my experience has happened to quite a few people. I hope Dr Crane much success and hope that he evaluates who he has working for him
Dr. Crane's support staff is very helpful, and is ran with an iron fist. Any doctor would love to have Dr. Cranes receptionist run there office she is very helpful and makes sure I get an appointment even if I call the same day. I do not always have to pay my copay that day but, some patients try to slip out if they think the receptionist (Nicole) is very busy. I have witnessed that type of behavior before from some of the patients. She definetly has her handsful and still manages to be professional at all times. Dr. Crane came highly reccommended and I am totally satisfied with the service I receive from him and his support staff and I am greatful the office is open on Fridays now from 9:00am to 5:00pm to accomodate my hectic schedule. I always can get Dr. Crane on the phone when I have a problem. Thanks for all of your help since I have been coming to Dr. Crane I have a life now. People should evaluate ther behavior first before they judge someone else's.
I have been going to dr crane a little over year. When I first started I thought the receptionist was harsh and abrasive, now i've come to realize she's a wonderful person trying to do her job which she does very well in my opinion due to the very diverse personalities she deals with.
Dr. Crane's office is very helpful and he is very knowledgeable. He has been my doctor for 20yrs. and i have never seen someone run the office the way his office manager Nicole does. She is a one woman army and always makes sure my insurance company is on point with my business even though she does not have to. I rate Dr. Cranes office an 8.
Nicole is the most unprofessional receptionist I have come across in my life time. She should absolutely NEVER WORK IN A MENTAL HEALTH SERVICING ENVIRONMENT. I will never return to see this doctor due to his support staff. Nicole should be fired and I hope DR Crane reprimands' her for bad behavior. Dr Crane is a nice man, however utilizing him as my doctor is not worth the time and aggravation it takes to deal with his receptionist. In her words today, " I am a grown woman, how dare you demand this of me". This was her response to me asking her if I could come sooner than next week as I had a death in the family and I haven't been able to call for an appointment. I made no demand and I asked nicely if she could accommodate. She responded "My world does not revolve around you." I work on a recorded line so I am tempted to send it to the Doctor so he can see what a nasty employee he has working for him. She in incompetent, rude, and down right nasty.
No matter how skilled a doctor can be, if his support staff is unhelpful, rude, and unprofessional it reflects poorly on him. Dr Daniel Crane's secretary who has been there a while is so bad and so rude and hangs up all the time that it has forced me to change doctors. I don't remember her name just remember she was African American and she should be fired in my opinion. She actually yelled at me and asked if I was crazy for asking why she kept hanging up on me. Considering she is working at a psychiatry practice I believe her choice of words was poor. With so many people unemployed these days, I am sure there is better talent out there.
