I love Doctor Ruth , she saved my life I don't hat more one can say?

Ruth has been my family doctor for years and always had nothing but positive things to say. She is very knowledgeable but over the course of the past few years, I’ve noticed a decline in her bed side manner. She can be impatient, often rushing through the appointment and making you aware of the time as if to make you feel like you are bothering her. She often questions your concerns in a condescending way (not all of us are doctors!) be dismissive of your concerns without an explanation other than “oh that’s nothing to worry about” and can be down right rude and ignorant to both her patients and staff. Demands respect but often does not show it. I understand she is busy and human but after years of putting trust in her, I feel very let down and disappointed in her professionalism.

dismissive, rude and condescending. Talks to you like you are stupid. I called her out on her bedside matter which ended up getting me kicked out of my appointment and a reminder that “you don’t have to be my patient, you know”.

Not happy with this doctor. She was very arrogant and rude during our family meeting. She ended up discharging my mother from the hospital with 2 broken legs before she was ready, which resulted in another fall at home and 911 being called.

I had a concerning experience with Dr. Ruth Vander Stelt. During my visit, I felt that my health concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously. I have a history of serious conditions, including Leiden Factor V, and I came in with specific symptoms, including worsening shoulder pain, for which I knew I had tendonitis. However, I wanted to ensure it was nothing more serious or connected to my blood disorder. Despite requesting proper testing, I was told that it was done, yet I later found out that it was not. Instead of receiving the support and thorough examination I expected, Dr. Vander Stelt made comments like, 'You think that you have bleeding in your brain?' and 'If you had a clot in your arm you would know, your face would droop and go numb and your speech would slur.' Additionally, she questioned why I didn’t want to wait to see my family doctor for the results. After the appointment, my spouse commented on her lack of professionalism, which further emphasized my disappointment. Clear communication and understanding are crucial in healthcare, and I left feeling more anxious than when I arrived. I believe patients deserve respect and care, and my experience with Dr. Vander Stelt did not reflect that.

I had a bad experience with this doctor. Dr.Ruth Vander Selt was condescent, dismissive, impatient, very rude and I could continue. She made me feel like I was disturbing her. She walks with her nose in the air....like she owns the hospital. She's an arrogant and talks to her staff like there standing around and not working. I don't recommend her to anyone. Trust me!

This doctor has no bedside matters. She made me feel like I was disturbing her at the ER. This is twice now she has done this to me. I have nothing good to say about her.

Dr. Vander Stelt listened to me and made me feel like my symptoms were real. I saw her in emerg and within an hour I had blood work, and a cat scan. It was such a relief to be taken serious after seeing other doctors that just dismissed me. She made sure that I was sent to the right field of medicine to address my problem.

Great doctor. Knows her stuff. I really like her. She’s not my family dr. But I’ve worked with her in emergency a few years back.
