My mother was a patient of Dr. Guentzel for over 20 years. My mother died of a very serious but treatable illness. Unfortunately, my mother saw this doctor right before she died and nothing was done to help her. After my mother died unexpectedly and alone, my family had a private autopsy done. Her condition was totally missed. Avoid this doctor at all costs. And to top it off, when my mom died she never even contacted our family. I got more compassionate care from my vet when my cat died last year.

Dr. Guentzel seems caring. I have been seeing her for several years. Have had no issues with her.

Was searching to establish a new doctor. After one visit, I knew that I didn't need to keep looking. Dr. Guentzel was kind, compassionate, knowledgable @ the topics discussed. It's hard to find a Dr. that actually will listen to your concerns. Would definitely recommend. Receptionist does appear to be a little "huffy" but I didn't take it personal. She seemed to be handling a pretty hectic office efficiently.

Best doctor I've ever had. Knowledgeable, dedicated and kind. Listens to patients and is very thorough on analysis of symptoms. Always there when I need her.

About the staff: I am not impressed with the Receptionist. She is an older lady who often seems put out while doing her job. She also doesn't relay messages well or return calls as she should/promises. As for Dr. Guentzel, I feel that, while she is a good, thorough doctor, she doesn't have the best personality (I have a hard time picturing her ever getting excited over anything!) If that doesn't bother you, though, then you should be happy with her otherwise.

every medication given has tremendously benifited me - her care, concern, and diagnostic ability is great. When my husband was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, her referrals were most beneficial to his well being.

Dr. Guentzel is gruff and inflexible. She also screams at patients. She mistiagnosed me with diabetes, then dropped me as a patient after two visits stating that we had failed to establish an appropriate doctor patient relationship!!! She is a total witch in every sense of the word. I was referred to her by the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center's physician referral service. I complained to the better business bureau and demanded my money back. She refused to answer the complaint. Avoid this doctor at all costs.
