I visited 8 West Clinic today for treatment by Dr. Ebrahim. The clinic is spacious, clean and the staff were inviting. Dr. Ebrahim's expertise and gentle/ precise approach has my skin condition improved at 90% to date and I look forward to it resolving completely. I was referred to 8 West by a friend for a subtle, natural-looking lip enhancement. She had hers done here twice and I loved the results, so I booked a consultation — not requesting anyone specific. As a full-time student, I had to go out of my way to fit this in, traveling from Burnaby and back during my school break. After completing all the forms and photos, Dr. Shehla Ebrahim walked in and, without asking me what I wanted or even starting a conversation, immediately said: “I’m not going to do this for you.” If she didn’t want to do the procedure, fine — that’s her choice. But the way it was handled was completely unprofessional. She allowed me to book but I wasn’t given a proper consultation, just a condescending lecture. She told me I was “too young” (I’m 21 — my friend who referred me is 20), said I was “a pretty girl” who didn’t need it and then made unnecessary remarks. She brought up my rhinoplasty (which is irrelevant and none of her concern), and made bizarre assumptions about me wanting more procedures and what I will end up looking like in the future. I would have respected it if she had shared her opinion professionally, expressed her concerns, and even declined to perform the procedure herself. However, she should have still completed the consultation properly and, if necessary, referred me to someone else if I chose to proceed. The appointment felt judgmental, dismissive, and like a total waste of my time. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, and extremely disappointed. Very unprofessional!

was referred to this doctor by a walk-in clinic after requesting to see a dermatologist for atypical moles. Unfortunately, I later discovered that she is not a dermatologist, but a general physician with an interest in dermatology. During one visit, she removed an atypical mole, which resulted in a large scar. Two years later, the area is still itchy and occasionally painful. This has caused ongoing discomfort and concern. In total, I had three appointments at her clinic. She was either significantly late or didn’t show up at all. On one occasion, during a minor procedure, she dropped the needle on the floor and continued to use the same one, which left me extremely uneasy. During the other visits, I was kept waiting while she ate lunch in her office. Once, I was given barely three minutes of her time after she reluctantly put her food aside. I’m genuinely shocked that she is still practicing and even more surprised to see positive reviews. My experience was deeply disappointing and has had lasting effects.

This "doctor" is a quack. Shehla Ebrahim lacks basic medical competence and focuses activities on promoting money-making products. Shehla Ebrahim should have been stripped of the medical license years ago.

I grew up seeing countless doctors for my many skin-related issues, and they always left me feeling disappointed. This hopelessness left me not trusting doctors for a long time, however, after lots of research for dermatologists in Vancouver, I am so lucky to have found Dr. Ebrahim as she is the best of the best. There is no need to feel scared when you're in Dr. Ebrahim's office, she leads with kindness and compassion for every treatment I have received. Dr. Ebrahim takes the time to explain everything, and the staff she surrounds herself with is just as amazing. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the life-changing treatment - you've returned my confidence and health. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I highly recommend Dr Ebrahim for anyone dealing with acne or skin issues. The team is incredibly professional and I felt that Dr Ebrahim genuinely cared about finding the right treatment for me. Thanks to her, my skin has never looked better :)

She’s not a dermatologist, she has no right to sit there and patronize/humiliate patients while trying to con them for money - or run this clinic. Listen here: you are acting outside your education level, and don’t know more than any other google doctor. Please go find an actual cosmetic surgeon or dermatologists office for your concerns.

I love Dr. Ebrahim. She has helped me so much I cant thank her enough. I see her again next few weeks

Extremely disappointed. I originally scheduled an appointment on Friday afternoon, to which Dr. Ebrahim reached out and requested to move the appt to Monday morning as she was heading out of town. I agreed to move the appt time, but come the day and time we were supposed to meet, Dr. Ebrahim did not show up. This is rather disheartening especially since she is charging over $120 a consultation.
