I had an excellent experience with Dr. Ivansivilli. Although our initial consultation phone call was rescheduled a few times, when I did have my consult he was very calm, listened to me, answered all my questions and I felt very comfortable with him. I was scheduled for surgery just a few weeks later for neck pain I had been experiencing for several years. On the day of the surgery, him and the hospital staff at Eagle Ridge were very accomodating to me and I felt safe and calm for my first surgery ever!!! Go big or go home I would say to the nurses. The follow up phone calls were consistent with previously stated. He was calm, answered my questions and I felt comfortable with him. I would highly recommend Dr. Ivanishvilli for cervical disc replacement surgery.

I can't speak to the doctor's surgical skills because I decided not to move forward with him. I waited three months in excruciating pain for my telephone consultation and was provided with a large window of time in which they would call. Calling at the last moment of the window, I was interrupted several times and the MRI to which he kept referring and saying "it doesn't look too bad" must not have been mine. My MRI clearly states injury to at least 3 discs of various severity, different nerve root injuries, and more, but the doctor only spoke on one disc herniation and did not let me explain the concerns I had regarding the increase in pain, onset of new and worrisome symptoms related to my back injury, and all but told me outright that because of my weight, it's really my fault that I have this injury. He told me that "everyone's bones are the same" which is medically inaccurate and outdated information, and I knew less than 5 minutes into our call that I would not let him touch me. I'm very angry and insulted by his lack of listening skills, empathy, and lack of care for all the documentation I'd compiled about my daily pain and symptoms which I'd sent to him prior to our call but that he didn't bother reading.

I had Dr. Ivanishvili perform ‘ Decompressive Lapinectomy’ surgery in the Lumbar region on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Vertebrate’s. I am 87 years old, and went through the sure ry with no problems. He is the most caring and kind doctorI have ever known.. EXCELLENT

Dr Ivanishvilli was a god-send. I needed to have the catheter replaced in my shunt as the original one started leak after 40 years of service. He ran it down the left side of my body so the CSF could drain into my abdomen as they were worried that if it went down my right, it would get infected with the leaking CSF already there.
Other than where it crosses the top of my skull, I cannot feel it Many thanks!

Dr. Zurab Ivanishvili was able to fully stabilize my unstable multiple c-spine fractures that could have led to paralysis or death, all without any invasive surgeries. Amazing! Despite being often rushed (as most hospital doctors are), he always tried to explain his findings, give his best opinions, and answer questions thoroughly during bedside visits and followup calls over a year. He was always a pleasure to speak with.
My only complaint is that he can be difficult to get ahold of sometimes (sometimes missing phone appointments). I understand doctors have busy schedules and many patients, but this can be very stressful during the beginning of a recovery for the patient.
Either way, I will always be grateful for the work Dr. Ivanishvili did to lead to my full recovery. Thank you!

Horrible nightmare of an experience dealing with this doctor/staff. I was on the waitlist for 1 year and kept getting extended for 2 years and they kept asking me for the same information like the MRI and other things but no follow-up or reaching out of any kind after. It's almost 3 years now and somehow, I am still on the waitlist = So, I went to a different legendary neurosurgeon and got my surgery and all appointments done (Successfully)! I am so grateful that I didn't get my surgery from this doctor and no longer have to deal with their rude and uncaring staff. I would recommend a neurosurgeon who cares and has a staff that is caring and compassionate for everyone suffering… if they don't like their jobs then maybe they should find something they actually like! Avoid the headache, mess and time waste and go to a competent doctor, it's your health on the line! God bless and hope you do better soon, everyone deserves to be pain free.

I had both the pleasure and most excellent experience getting my damaged body (back) fixed by Dr Zurab lvanishvili. He is an incredible surgeon, with excellent bedside manner, who casually said to me, as I was wheeled in as an emergency patient case to RCH. I’m going to fix you up and get you going again, confidently. He did just that and then some. Zurab is well liked by his team of staff of nursing staff and his peers who consulted with me as well. My neurological pain is gone and I feel fantastic. You are a gift to this world, and for that I thank you for both myself and on behalf of my family too. Again, thank you Doctor Ivanishvili . Dr. Ivanishvili is by definition a consumate professional. His skillset, compassion & care are exemplary! He took the time to explain the surgical procdure, (removal of a brain tumor) pre & post operatively to both myself & my wife. He has made regular follow up calls. Despite COVID protocols we have been well informed and feel he is truly commited to my recovery. During my care in the hospital he had to make difficult decisions around my surgery. These were explained in detail and showed his dedication to those in his care. I am so fortunate to have had his expertise in my time of need.
