Had my right knee done 3rd week in January of 2021, went home same day. Was in PT 2 weeks post op, walking with out assistance and driving 3 weeks post op, back to work 7 weeks post op. 4 months later I’m walking up to 3-4 miles a day, with minimal pain and swelling

Dr. Smith did an incredible job with my hip replacement surgery. At 83 years old other doctors didn't want to take on my case, but Dr. Smith addressed all my concerns. He and his team including anesthesiology and nurses were extremely professional. His innovative use of nerve block instead of general anesthesia has made for a quick recovery. Every aspect of the process, from pre-surgery tests, through surgery, post-surgery recovery, and follow-up at home has been beyond my expectations.

Dr. Smith replaced both of my knees on December 19th, 2019. Amazing results I was up and walking before I left the hospital, I only needed a walker for about a week in a half, I did therapy exercises at home and by my post opt appointment could bend and straighten my legs. I have not been able to walk around the block or be pain free even when I was sleeping for several years now I am walking 45 minutes a day and pain free. I have been recommending Dr. Smith to anyone that I hear talking about having problems with their knees. So happy I had the surgery!!!

My minimally invasive total knee replacement surgery was on July 17, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Smith, his nurse and office staff scheduled the whole procedure for me, I just had to show up at the scheduled classes, appointments, and hospital.

I stayed one night in the hospital, had one physical therapy and one occupational therapy session in the hospital and walked out the next morning with my physical therapy exercise instructions and a cane to help. I went home and walked up a flight of stairs the same day. Within days I was walking around the block regularly. A month after the surgery I was walking at least a mile a day.

Twelve weeks after the replacement surgery I am 80% back to normal.

Dr. Smith and his staff have made this journey anything but disconcerting. His ability to explain the surgery outcome and risks are astonishing. He is able to set you at ease and give you the information you need to make the decision that is best for you. He and his staff are always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have from start to finish.

I would and have recommended Dr. Tom Smith to anyone contemplating either knee or hip surgery.

I had a total right knee replacement with Dr. Smith 4/3/19. My surgery & recovery went very well, and I have been walking 9 holes on the golf course every week since June pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Smith!

I am 50 years old and had an anterior hip replacement with Dr. Smith this past January 2019. I had severe degenerative bone-on-bone arthritis, and Dr. Smith was recommended to me very highly by some of my co-workers. When I first met with him, I was comfortable with him right away as he spoke to me like a friend about how the whole procedure would go, my predicted recovery time, and whether or not I might or might not need physical therapy after surgery. I have to say it was one of the best decisions I have made--both to have the surgery and to have it with Dr. Smith. I couldn't be any happier with the outcome. My surgery and recovery both went exactly the way Dr. Smith described to me it would. I am so thankful to Dr. Smith and his caring and capable staff. Whenever I speak about my hip replacement it truly makes me smile. I would not and do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Tom Smith!

I was discharged at 2:00 PM after my 7:30 AM Anterior Total Hip Replacement surgery. I was able to walk around the hospital and climb stairs before I left. In less than one week I was walking everywear without a walker or cane, with absolutely no pain whatsoever. I have been recommending Dr. Smith to everyone. Five stars are not enough!

I had severe painful arthritis in my left knee which bowed my leg and limited my walking. Dr Smith replaced my knee and straightened my leg in 2017. I was released from the hospital the next day and back to work in 4 weeks. I am totally pain free, my leg is straight and I am able to visit any place I choose without worrying about how much walking there will be. I can also walk my young grandsons to the park spend an hour and walk them back. This would not have been possible prior to surgery. Thank you Dr Smith helping me to have the better quality of life I have now.
