I went in with severe lower back pain and misalignment. My regular chiro couldn't see me. I was grateful she was open on Sunday. She used accupuncture to handle my lower back and I was not so fond of it at first and quite nervous. She was very accommodating with me and stayed with me. By the same token she followed all procedures she was supposed to follow. I didn't know much about modern accupuncture until now and I didn't know that they can now get feedback if they connect to the right channel. Because of it, she activated my opposing muscles so that the spasm and tightness would go away. I was truly impressed with her ability to be caring and knowledgeable and effective!

Dr. Al-Rifai is the best chiropractor! she is very attentive to my concerns. She truly cares about you and she is compassionate. Great bed side manners!! I referred all my family and friends to her.

Dr. Tahini is AMAZING! I had a different chiropractor before Dr. Tahini and I always felt that I was there for 3 minutes and sent on my way, with Dr. Tahini it is the opposite! She listens and takes care of everything. Sore muscles she can help, you need an alignment she’s got you, she takes care of your whole body and I’ve never had a chiropractor that put in so much work to ensure I’m not in pain. Message, cupping, aligning and acupuncture, there’s nothing she can’t do! I’m very pleased and will never go to anyone else but her from now on.

I would like to thank Dr. Tahani Al-Rafai for her care over the past 1 ½ years.
Unfortunately I was involved in a motor vehicle accident, whereby I was at a standstill on the highway and was struck at full force from behind. You always hear the words “Life can change in an instant”, and boy do I know that to be true. I sustained a back injury causing nerve damage down my leg. This is still under investigation and Dr. Al-Rafai is confident and knowlegable to suggest tests to be done. My family doctor is always in agreement with her assessment. I also sustained muscle and tendon damage in my shoulders, damage to my thumb and stage 3whiplash. The shoulders will never return to pre accident, but Dr. Al-Rafai has been able to improve my range of motion and has helped me to adapt to my loss of strength and range of motion. I am fortunate that my car insurance has me covered and put me in the care of Dr. Al-Rafai and the other medical team therapists at Activa Medical Clinic, here in Hamilton.
I have been blessed to have such a caring and skilled chiropractor who makes an assessment each day and knows just which area to work on. I attend chiropractic as well as other therapies at the clinic three times each week. Covid certainly created a setback in my treatment but Dr. Al-Rafai continued contact with me by phone and virtual appointments. She organized exercise equipment to be sent to my home to aid in continued therapy. Once the clinic was allowed to operate in person again, Dr. Al-Rafai could see immediately, that virtual is absolutely not the same as hands on treatment. I had set back quite a bit but she had me on the road to better shape and less pain in no time.
Unfortunately the doctor has decided to leave the Hamilton practice and I don't know what I will do without her . Below are phots and videos of some of the injuries that she has been able to competently been able to treat. Painful muscle spasms and swelling is greatly reduced and make life bearable.

Dr. Al-Rifai very good. I have bad posture and stiffness in my shoulders and back. She made me feel much better. She’s very empathetic and warm. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Al-Rifai helped me to get rid of the neck pain that I suffered for more than a year. She is very helpful and knowledgeable, and she describes everything precisely. I would say that Dr. Al-Rafai is the best Chiropractor that I have ever seen.

Dr. Al-Rifai is amazing!!. She explains everything and ensures that you understand. As busy as she always is she will never make you feel rushed and makes sure to answer all questions you have. She is very knowledgeable and explains everything she is doing. I would not hesitate to recomend her to anyone looking for an incredible chiropractor! My only regret is not coming to see her sooner.
