Biography

Dr. Sunny Jun is the Co-Founder and Co-Medical Director of CCRM San Francisco and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with combined B.A./M.D. degrees from Boston University, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine where she then stayed to complete her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Jun received numerous awards and honors during her medical training, including Excellence in Surgical Performance and Outstanding Resident Instructor presented by the Faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She received the ROSE Award for Clinical Excellence from Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford and was presented with the Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures award by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. After her subspecialty training, she spent almost 10 years as a founding member of the Department of Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in the East Bay. During her time there, she was elected and served as Deputy Chief of OB/GYN for two years at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Jun has been involved in both basic science and clinical research in the field of reproductive medicine where she has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at annual meetings for American Society of Reproductive Medicine and Society for Gynecologic Investigation. Dr. Jun’s clinical interests and areas of expertise include but are not limited to in vitro fertilization, polycystic ovarian syndrome, recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, egg/embryo cryopreservation, third party reproduction, and reproductive surgery.
