Dr. Robert Barker is one of the most caring, conscientious doctors I've ever seen. He truly cares about his patients. His approach is conservative, yet thorough. He has called me at home at night just to give me lab results that were not alarming. He likes to treat medical problems at the time of my office visit, but he does not hesitate to make a referral to a specialist if indicated. Before entering Family Practice he chose to spend several years in Emergency Medicine, which gave him very broad experience. He is a non-smoker and non-drinker and maintains a high level of physical fitness for himself. But he is non-judgmental, easy-going, and easy to talk to. Dr. Barker has expanded his practice by taking in new doctors. He has limited his own new patients so that his existing patients get adequate time and attention. He is about 50, so, hopefully, he will be our doctor for the rest of our lives.
